metformin

Postby praying4_miracle2 » Fri Dec 11, 2015 1:20 am

How much does met cost everyone a month? I don't have insurance anymore so my pharmacy is charging me $50 for one month supply now (500mg each pill 2xs a day). Need to continue met otherwise I will feel like pooo :(. I just don't want to pay a crazy price when I was just paying $3 a month before. To see the doc alone is costing me $300 a visit not including test/blood work. Can I get met without a prescription?

You can buy pretty much anything over the internet lol. Unfortunately you don't know what you're getting. $50 is worth not feeling like poo, so I'd just pay it if you can, and cut back on other things (like eating out, ect). I don't know of any reputable pharmacies online. Are u in the US?

Hey - sorry for jumping in so late on this. If you haven't already, check the grocery stores with pharmacies in your area. All of the Publix groceries around here give Metformin for free with a prescription. It's only the original (not the extended release formula), but it's worth a try. I did 2000mg a day for about 15 months for PCOS - they don't ask why you need it. I hope this helps...
