Did your PCOS barely show on HSG and showed w/further tests?

Postby babyinspringaw » Sun Feb 11, 2007 8:28 pm

Hi,

I was just curious...as Im not sure I have PCOS...but I did get a negative
HSG and gotta go for further testing.
But the results did show a structure in the top upper part of my uterus and then "something going on with the ovaries" (but RE could not clarify anything with the tubes w/o further testing).

So...Im just curious how PCOS showed up early for you ladies with the testing and HSG? I just got pregnant in October, but miscarried at 6 weeks.
I dont know HOW I CAN HAVE A NEGATIVE HSG right after a PREGNANCY?

Any info would help,
Ann

I was diagnosed with PCOS by internal and external pelvic ultrasounds and blood tests. They saw many cysts on my ovaries and my hormone ratios were way off. I don't see how an HSG could show PCOS. I thought that test was solely for seeing if the tubes were blocked or clear. I didn't even know they could see the ovaries with that test, but maybe I'm mistaken! If I were you, before I went and spent thousands more on further tests, I'd get a second opinion! HTH :)
