Hi,
Anyone's doctor have an opinion on this for ttc with endo? Is the consensus that it is helpful or more harm than good? I was browsing the Internet and no clear answers. Apparently, though femara is an alternative treatment to Lupron for endo but I am thinking of a few cycles of ttc.

I have heard it is a lot better choice than Chlomid. A lot less side effects and it doesn't seem to have some of the "bad" effect that chlomid can have on endo. Besides that I can't be much help. GL to you whatever you end up doing.

I'm doing IVF in late summer, and my RE is planning to start it off with Femara (along with injectables). Femara is a much better choice than Clomid.

Now that I've done 2 rounds of 5 mg Femara I've properly formed an opinion on it. I hate it. I've never had so much endo pain/inflammation as I have on Femara. It's supposed to be "better" for it, but nothing helps the pain, nothing reduces the inflammation when I'm on Femara. It's been pure hell and I told my RE I'm done, I couldn't do another round, so we're moving to straight injectables because I'm so miserable on it... I did/felt 10x better on Clomid!

I forgot to mention the only side effect from it that I've had in the past is hot flashes, usually by 3rd dose.

When we TTC our DD I did 3 IUI's on 2.5 mg and got preggers on the third try. I never had any side effects from Femara in fact I asked to use it again with my new dr as we TTC baby #2
