This is my first post and first journey on the TTC bandwagon. We’ve been TTC for a year now with no previous children or pregnancies. I’ve recently been to the fertility MD and my problem list is endometriosis and high prolactin. My DH has normal hormone levels but sperm count of 2 mil. We have a surgery scheduled in 2 weeks for endometriosis and I’m on week 2 of cabergoline for prolactin. My DH just picked up his clomid prescription today. I guess my question is, Has anyone else had a cluster of issues like mine and conceived soon after treatments began? I feel like a pincushion and I have basically every bad side effect with the cabergoline. I guess I just need to know I’m not alone with this problem list.
Thank you :-D

You are definitely not alone! How are you doing? I see this was posted in October. I'm in a similar boat as you. Doctor thinks I have endo and wants to do a surgery to make sure. I'm having trouble making that decision. How did you decided to do the surgery? My levels also came back with high prolactin, no idea what that means? Did they tell you? My doctor is testing my levels again while fasting. My DH is getting a semen analysis next week.

Hello, I can relate to your situation. I recently went to a gyno/fertility specialist because my husband and I had been trying for just over a year. For the past two almost three years I have had very painful ovulation, and other pain symptoms. The specialist highly suspects I have endometriosis. Before we decided on surgury we opted for other fertility testing since the fertility aspect was my main concern. So My blood work came back normal, but my husband s SA came back at a low count of 5mil compared to a normal 20mil. We are currently waiting for a urologist appointment to further investigate the cause of the low count. In the meant time I decided to wait, and not do the laproscopic surgery. But now i'm worried about wasting time. Any advice you have for me about going ahead with or waiting to do the surgery i'd appreciate. Our situations are so similar.

Hi there. I am very sorry for the struggle you are going through. My husband and I have been ttc now for 5 years. I have Stage 2 endo, high prolactin, and Hashimoto's. I was wondering why they had you on Cabergoline (spelling?). I took Parlodel also known as Bromocriptine and had horrible side effects from it. When I asked my RE if I could take Cabergoline instead he told me no because it could not be taken while ttc.
In regards to the endo, I did have the L-scope and hysteroscope with a dye test in June 2013. They found a golf ball size cyst on my left ovary, which they had not seen in ultrasounds, and of course the endo lesions. Following the surgery I did 4 months on Lupron. I had my last Lupron shot in November and my first cycle started the day after Christmas, 2013. On January 28th, 2014 I called my doctor and told him "You broke me! My period is stuck.". My doctor told me to take a test to be sure and that he would call me in a prescription to start my cycle. Jan 29th, 2014 I found out I was pregnant. Unfortunately, I began spotting on Feb 13th and through ultrasound discovered that the pregnancy was a blighted ovum. We tried cytoteck meds at home, twice, but ended up needing a D&C in March. Since then we have not had any luck and are looking into IUI or IVF next year. As for the surgery though, I would do it.
Good luck everyone!
