Postby TTC2016xo » Mon Oct 26, 2015 6:27 am

Hi all !
My name is Bria my husband and I have been TTC for 3 years now.
We were trying to conceive naturally for those 3 years. I have extremely out-of-whack cycles my last one started august 22nd and ended october 24th. I have chronic endo and pcos with a cyst on my left ovary . We went to our OB last week he gave me prenatals ,500mg of Metformin and Progesterone pills and told me to get a ovulation kit.does anyone have any success stories in a case like mine ? Im beginning to feel hopeless.

First off..do not begin to feel hopeless.. lucky for you this website is FILLED with people that have similar stories and situations. You need to stay as positive as possible. Do you possibly have any fertility specialists in your area? If so I would set up an appointment with them as well...They will of course do more tests just to give you the best protocol. That would be my very first suggestion! Hang in there. I am going on over 4 years of TTC with lots of failed IUI's and one failed IVF...I have endometriosis as well but had it removed in August 2012 (which i am sure is back by now) I am also in the process of my 2nd IVF...transfer day is on Sunday eek...but you have come to the right place for support. I would not know what to do if it wasn't for TWW.

Yes! I also have endometriosis and PCOS. Though it took me 16 months of tracking cycles, I was able to conceive with metformin and Femara. I am currently on my 12th month of TTC a second baby, and have very long irregular cycles. I have to just really closely watch for ovulation signs, and if I have too many anovulatory cycles, I will take Clomid or Femara to ovulate. I would highly suggest finding a reproductive endocrinologist in your area who can monitor your cycles with ultrasounds and/or bloodwork and determine if/when you are ovulating! It is a frustrating diagnosis, but you CAN get pregnant!! It just takes the right doctor helping monitor your cycles, and the right medications, supplements, and lifestyle modifications :) Don't give up hope!!

Another endo person here, I have stage 2 I think, had a surgery done 2012 and after that we tried for over 2 years with no sucess. I was recommended IVF or another surgery, my endo is the worst on my ovaries building cysts, but nothing else really at this point. I've done a lot research, changed my diet, took vitamines and herbs and got my bfp within 3 months. Sadly it didn't progress further than about 7 weeks, but it would have been twins and twins are more prone to mc's I heard. So it possible and theres more women with similar stories. I've given up hope believe me. My natural approach was my last resort, haha, but it worked for me when I didn't expect much of it. I hope it will happen again within a reasonable time and without a mc. Please don't give up hope yet, sometimes we just have to figure out what will help, for some it's just to relax, for some a natural approach or changes in lifestyle and others need real medical intervention. As long you still have a functioning uterus and ovaries, you can or should be able to get pregnant with more or less help.
Also I want to mention that I also track my cycles and use opks. When I got my bfp it was well planned, I had a story book ovulation (never seen one like that before in other cycles) and timed bd perfectly. It's extremely helpful to know your body and cycles.
2012 diagnosed with endometriosis, surgery/lap, diagnosed with subseptate uterus 2017...TTC since almost 3 years before first BFP in 2015
2015 August 4 - MC identical twins at 7 w, BFP @ 13dpo - squinter BFP @ 12 dpo, Betas: 152, 310, 1982
2016 Oct 10 - MC at 5-6 weeks, BFP @ 9dpo, Beta @ 4w 199

2016 Dec 30 - BFP @ 9dpo > EDD Sept 13, 2017 It's a BOY (av. BPM 130)

This is just my case! I was diagnosed on endo& pcos years ago. Now I'm 40 yo, struggling the same issues adding poor egg quallity. This led us to egg donation route finally.
I've had 2 lapos done though with no actual result. Except pain relief for some time..
Stay strong :hugs:
