I think I may have endo

Postby Momma-of4 » Fri Jan 08, 2016 2:19 pm

So my periods are getting more painful and heavier by the month. I have very painful ovulation in my right ovary especially. I'm mean I could cry at times. I have off and on twinges and pain in my right ovary off and on all cycle. When I have a bowel movement while on my period it is very painful. It's hard to describe where the pain is. It takes my breath away for about 30 seconds or so. I've been ttc for four months with no luck yet. I was on bcp for about 4 months before ttc and things seemed much better then. As soon as I stopped the pill symptoms returned. I have a dr appt jam 20 to talk to my dr about this. Does this sound consistent with endo and what should I expect for treatment? I know they can use surgery to treat it. I'm 35 so I don't know if I should try for a few more months if they offer surgery or go ahead with surgery right away if that is what's going on. How long after surgery can you resume ttc?

Hey there, I have no answers but I feel pretty similar I was on depo provera for really painful periods and I get pain on and off from the middle of my cycle through bleeding and a couple of days after. They seem to be getting worse the longer I'm off BC but they've not ramped up as fast as yours, I have pain medication to take that my doctor has approved for ttc. It is Diclofenac suppositories and I take either paracetamol or dihydrocodeine for when that on its own doesn't work. Last month despite maxing my dose of both I was completely unable to function and was off work. It was also very heavy.

I'm wishing you lots of luck and I've heard lots of positive stories about people getting their BFP despite endo I've also heard that you should get checked out earlier rather than later if endo hasn't been looked for before as they can prevent it doing more damage if it is somewhere bad for fertility.

Hi rynkat :) thanks for your reply.

I saw my ob last week and she's sending me to a specialist to get lap for diagnostic and to clean endo out if there is any. She did give me pain meds to help me through my periods. Hydrocodone. I can't take any anti inflammatories since I had weight loss surgery several years ago. It did help with my last Af. I just don't like having to be "drugged" up to function. I guess it's better than being in so much pain though. My dr did want me to get checked out sooner than later due to my age.

Id ask your dr for a lap as well. I'm hoping I get pg before I have to have surgery though. I am not looking forward to another surgery. Good luck to you!!
