Hey shady! How are you? What is going on this cycle

We have lost touch, but still think of you gals.

Cfash, any news?

I am on BCP for IVF. We go in Wed for appts and then I start Lupron on the 21st and then u/s on 27th and start stimming on 30th. Then u/s on 5th and hopeful retrieval May 9-11ish and implantation 3-5 days later...I spent an hour on phone with medication places and looks like I will only owe about 150 dollars for about 80 viles of meds, etc. I feel very lucky for that. I will have Lupron injections, Gonal infections, progesterone injections, progesterone patches, also some antibiotic and valium for procedure days! I am nervous and excited.

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!! I am back!! (cfash with new name!!) SOOOOOOOO sorry....I made the silly mistake of changing my email contact address in my profile and it locked me out of my account. Then when I tried to make a new account it said it would send me the confirmation email adn it never arrived. I kept trying and for some reason today it finally worked!!!!

OMG..I have been thinking of you guys and wondering how you were both going. bbpac....glad to hear of your ivf plans but then struck down by silly cyst. Boo. sounds like you are almost back on track though?

Shady?

So where to start with me? I think I was injecting when I got kicked out of my account. So really they weren't too bad (well, no worse than puregon) once you got the hang of mixing the bravelle and menopur and I had no side effects. of course the creation of all those eggs does leave you feeling like chicken carrying around a huge load and you feel pretty bloated and uncomfortable by the end.

But anyway, I had my egg retrieval on the 12th March. It was a little painful but not as bad as I expected and the clinic were so great that it was pretty good really. I was wrecked afterwards and slept all afternoon (from drugs) and then was pretty sore for 2-3 days. Luckily it fell on a sat so that was handy for not missing work. And the result? They got 9 eggs which we were pretty happy with.

So the next day they told us all 9 had fertilised which was amazing and that they decided that they would go for a 5dt. Unfortunately after that only 5 fertilised got to 3 days. I had 2 put back on/transferred on 17th March (lucky St patricks day?) one very good and one pretty good that they assisted hatching(can't remember grades) The next day they rang to say none of the other 3 made it to freeze. i was pretty devasted for the thought that i would then need to go through egg retrival all over again staright away if we were unsuccessful.

Anyway, I was due for bloodtest on monday 28th march. By Friday I was having AF type cramps and peeing twice in the night ( i NEVER pee in the night) so I was think either AF was iminent or there was going to be some good news here. I couldn't help myself and I did a test Saturday morning (9 days post 5dt) and it was positive!! Still I tried to keep it in check.

I went away for work on monday after I did my bloodtest and was due to get my results Tuesday. I was literally in a conference all day waiting for the phone to ring which was awful knowing that I would have to be around people when I got the news. Anyway, long story short, they coudln't get on to me, rang DH and so as soon as he said "i have some news" I could hear it in his voice! YEP...we're pregnant!!

OMG - am ridiculously lucky to have it work first time and am feeling very anxious that we're a long way from safety yet.

First beta was 860 (sounds high right?) second one a week later (monday just gone) was 15,000!!!!!

I am schedule for first u/s on friday 14th at 7 weeks for heartbeat (and twins I guess) Despite the fact I am thrilled...I am terrified. so often something goes wrong!

Very hard not to get over excited or over anxious and just get through the days.

But either way, we can get pregnant! Thanks so much for your support ladies...it has been amazing. And all I can say now is - its your turn next!! BBPAC...IVF rocks!!

so was scared i would lose all that so I posted but thought I would outline symptoms for you. Since the friday before I found out I have been peeing like a crazy woman, BB's have been sore since I started progesterone so I never really took notice of that. I have had some nausea but if I don't let myself get hungry its fine. totally weird for a choc-aholic I am completely off sweet stuff. and I had totally AF cramps for 10 days on and off.....they actually were uncomfortable. Like you have AF non stop. They seems to be a bit better now but my stomach is pretty tight and sore to stretch out. I look like I am showing alraedy but I think it is the bloating.

Anyway, I am spurting far too much info...its just nice to be back and tell you girls everything I have been wanting to tell you for weeks!!

OH MY GOODNESSS I'm so excited cfash! :jump: :jump: I was hoping you'd bring back that AWESOME news we were hoping for! Those numbers are fabulous! Your long, hard road had paid off, your pregnant! I can't wait for you to see your baby(ies)! I think you'll be able to relax (a little anyway) once you see them ( I say them because I'm convinced there are TWO ;) You can finally be excited, its always hard for us IF's to be/stay excited. I'm oh so happy for you!

BB, Yay for the IVF process! I hope to see two IVF BFP's!

AFM, Not much going on. I think I O'd on Saturday, got some good bding in but I'm way to grounded to be excited. We're stuck at this point in TTC, where we can't afford to go further with an IUI, so its natural or Clomid cycles each month and they've all ended the same way, bfn.
Me: 25 DH: 26, Married June 2004
DD (3) conceived naturally on HSG cycle after 16 months ttc
June 2009: CKC surgery
Trying for #2 (ovulating since June 10)
7 unsuccessful Clomid cycles (50-150 mg)
 early m/c December 2010
March: Clomid 50mg CD 5-9, baby aspirin, EPO, Preseed=bfn
April: Clomid 50mg CD 3-7, EPO, Preseed=bfn
May: Natural cycle, bfn
June: Natural cycle=bf?

Thanks ladies!!
I am having some trouble relaxing and stupidly just spent 10 minutes googling blight ovum...ie: where you go for your scan and there is a sac and no baby but you've continued to have all the symptoms. I really need to stop reading bc it just stresses me out!

shady - keep the hope up because you know you can get pregnant naturally! Its just a matter of time now...

bbpac where are you at now with your IVF? Injecting yet or still on BCP?
My fingers are crossed for you both. I will be here until I see both of you report happy healthy babies!!

I just wish friday was over and we saw a wonderful loud heartbeat! (Think i will faint and fall off the table shady if there is 2 heartbeats!) :o

I have been nauseus allll day and for a second i felt sorry for myself...how easy it is to forgot the pain you went through! Then I was happy for my nausea....especially knowing many people would love to be having it. bring on the vomiting!

Right, one of you is next. Given bbpac is weeks from transfer...that means its your chance shady!!

Thank you both!! So kind of you to be thrilled for me in spite of what you are still going through. I can't seem to get through the day without a sleep and pretty wonderful nausea now.

Bbpac...you will be surprised how quickly things happen now. When you have something to focus on (like the injections) and then the bloodtests, etc, I felt that the 10 days or so went very quickly and suddenly it was time for egg retrieval. You'll start to feel pretty bloated and awful at the later end with (hopefully) a belly full of eggs!

Shady, fingers crossed!! Did you get some good BD'ing in?

sorry about the nausea cfash! I was sick all day long with my daughter, I ended up being on meds my entire pregnancy, hope its not the case for you and it starts to go away soon, at least you know those little babies are making your uterus their permanant home! I know its early but have you and DH thought of names? :)

We got some decent BDing in, thought I had O'd earlier so kind of 'gave up' around the time I actually O'd. We Bding two days before and on O day so mayne that will be enough! My friend suggested Maya Uterine massage, I looked into it and it sounds great. Its especially for infertility and centers your uterus (that can be thrown off balance by previous pregnancy, etc). I'm going to look into cost-I'll try it!

hey gals. The twins have been quiet on the morning sickness front - which on the one hand is great, but on the other just makes you worry. But we went to palm springs for easter and I think it was just my body being happy for being able to relax and get some sun - and eat when I needed to (ie: all day!) because I am back at work this morning and its back with a vengeance!

Anyway, we have another ultrasound this afternoon so time will tell. Fingers crossed all over again. Man this 12 weeks is a long time!

Shady, the BD'ing sounds hopeful. how long til testing? Never heard of the massage - but definately sounds intriguing and worth a try!

bbpac....you're nearly there!! I did a totally different protocol to you so am a bit confused as to how yours works but presuming you finish BCP on the weekend too?

Oh let us know how the u/s goes!! Glad you got to relax...

My last BCP was last night. I started lupron to suppress ovulation on the 21st and continue that until retrieval. I start menopure on Sat twice a day and then add gonal twice a day. I will stimm for 8-12 days My next u/s is tomorrow and then on May 5th I see how follicles are doing. I also have estrogen and progesterone to add after retrieval...so many!

What was your protocal?
