Femara, Gonal F, and Trigger

I have had such a poor response with Clomid, that my RE has switched medicated IUI protocol to:

CD 5-9 - 7.5 mg Femara
CD 9-11 - 225 iu Gonal F
CD 12 - Pregonal Trigger Shot

Has anybody been on this combination? I'm excited to try something different, but I'm also terrified that this will not work as well. I guess I'm just looking for a little inspiration and hope.

Hi Hong Kong!
I can't say that I've been on that exact protocol, and never on Clomid. I've read where lots of ladies did not respond to clomid and did well with femara.
I did 5mg femara and 150 menopur- the response was no good so I had to do 2 extra days of menopur which caught me up nicely.
We then changed to 7.5mg femara and 150 menopur. I was ready with two nice follies and one okay at CD 11. I think I probably would've been fine without the injectable and just the femara.
I haven't done another cycle but if I do it will be the same but everything comes forward one day earlier. It's nice with monitoring to be able to add meds and then recheck to see progression. Would your doctor add a few extra days to catch the follicles up? I like that about injectables, add a day and whoa! You have good eggs!
I think each cycle is a learning experience to find out what works for you. Hopefully this will be it and you'll get that BFP!

Hi Hongkong!

I am in the middle of a very similar cycle for the first time!
CD 3-7 5mg Femara
CD 7-11 150iu Gonal F
CD 12 Ovidrel Trigger

I had 2 follies at 16 and RE was happy to see that, so onto 2ww!

I had 3 follicles, 22, 16, and 15, so we had our IUI on Nov. 6, CD14. My husbands washed count was 35.5 million.

How is the 2WW going?
