Didn't even get the chance to cave and test early af came this morning a day early :( now off to call the dr about trying round 3 of clomid and maybe running more tests...ugh

Also I think I'm going to order every kind of supplement I can get my hands on...something's gotta work right?! And I know it's me cause DH tests came back perfectly normal. I'm thinking either it's time for an hsg test or its problems with my ewcm.

Hi gals,

I am just about to start my 1st go on cloud, safe to say I am extremely nervous, my dr told me to start CD2-6 but after reading all the posts am not sure what to do. I have had all the checks on my tubes with no problems reported but I do have PCOS affecting only 1 ovary.

A bit of information about me, my names Julie age 27 and my DH is very nearly 30. We have been together for nearly 10 years and have been TTC for what feels like forever. It's hard because all our friend already have 1 or 2 kids already and I don't feel comfy talking to them about this. Some advice would be great x

Hi Julie, I'm sorry it's been such a rough TTC journey. It's really hard seeing people your age with 1-3 kids already and you're still working on your first. I'm currently pregnant with a clomid baby. I took clomid on cd 5-9 and ovulated on cd 23. It took 3 rounds. I started with 50mg, then moved to 100mg and got pregnant on that dosage. I used OPK's but I did not temp or anything. My husband and I bd every other day and then every day for 3 days when I got my positive opk. Hopefully this will be the trick for you!

It is just so nice to be able to speak to someone about it, my husband is fantastic and would listen to me ever day and that's wonderful but I need to speak to a lady that's been through it.

It's so encouraging that there are so many success stories and I wish you every bit of luck to you and your little bundle of joy!!

Hi ladies,
I am Tricia
I have been reading forum after forum... Feeling alone and confused. I am new to all the lingo so bear with me. I was dignosised with pcos this year by a Dr. that didn't listen to my wants to start ttc. After 6 months went I to a new dr. that got me off all the meds said my numbers say I can be treated more with diet and exercise(not insulin resistant) and started me on clomid (50mg). Said he has no doubt I'd ovulate first round. He gave me a progesterone shot to start af and on CD5 start clomid. I had no side effects just excitement. He told me not to not to temp and said nothing about a trigger shot.. said to start doing the deed on CD14- CD22 every other day. It worked out my vacation was during those days. I'm on CD29 and Dr. Said CD35 I should take a hpt. Took one this morning and nothing. I had EWM CD16-CD20 and a spot of blood the size of a pen head in some CM on CD25. Now I have milky CM since CD25... All these things confuse me... The signs say af is about to arrive or... maybe I conceived? I took a hpt this morning and a bfn... Is it still too early? Am I getting the right treatment? Gah, I have always worried since I was 17 yrs old (now 29) that I would not be able to have kids and I can't shake that fear... I know all you ladies understand... I just need some words of encouragement.

Hi Tricia,
Did your doctor order a blood test to confirm ovulation? Without knowing your exact O date, it's pretty hard to determine the right day to test. I would definitely suggest temping every morning (if this cycle doesn't work!). Then you'll KNOW if you O'd, and you'll be able to better calculate when to take a hpt. If you're only CD29, then it might be way too early for you to get a positive test, especially if you ovulated late. I took 100mg of Clomid this round and didn't ovulate until CD22! That means I can't test with any accuracy until CD36 or so. What was your last day of EWCM or wet/slippery CM? That is also usually a sign of ovulation and might help you pinpoint when it was. I agree that it can be a very frustrating thing to deal with, I've also got PCOS and all I want is to be able to ovulate regularly and have a chance. Good luck, and keep us updated! Don't get discouraged, as it's all too early to know anything definite! And at least you're on the right track with seeing a doctor and medication.

Hello ladies,
This may be a little long ...
I have, like many others I'm sure, obsessed over these boards during our journey ttc, but I have never posted. Finding this thread was awesome.
Our story: I'm almost 28, husband is 25. I am in the Navy, he is Army Reserve, and we've been ttc diligently for about 18 months. though we'd never used protection or tried preventing pregnancy for the last 3 years. Diagnosed endometriosis two years ago, had surgery with little success to deter symptoms, so we Knew ttc would be difficult. We finally got a BFP in May but unfortunately we miscarried in June at 9weeks. It was heartbreaking, as I'm sure many of you know. For me this was my second miscarriage the first being at 14 weeks when I was 19.
My husband and i have tried to look at this as a blessing though because it allowed us to get a referral to see a fertility specialist, without whom, we found out, I'd never be able to conceive.(Being military it can be very difficult to get in to see specialists of any kind)
After tests and scans the doc told us that I make bad eggs due to high prolactin and issues with my pituitary gland. So, I do ovulate, but not mature eggs. He said this can get worse with age and suggested we jump right back into ttc. He prescribed Clomid and seemed very optimistic that it would work first round, which was an amazing thing to hear after everything that's happened.
I took my final dose of our first round of 50 mg clomid (cd5-9) last night. Thankfully my symptoms have been mild. I have gotten hot flashes and mood swings but nothing unbearable, and thankfully my husband has been amazing through the crying, sometimes screaming, emotional mess I've become.
I'm so incredibly nervous that it won't work though. My husband will be leaving for deployment this year and if we don't conceive in the next two months I will be deploying soon as well. It adds a lot of pressure to an already stressful time. For us these next two months are really all we have. After that we will have to wait at least 18 months before we start ttc again.
How do you guys deal with the stress of ttc with complications?
27 y/o with an amazing, supportive, and alarmingly handsome 25 y/o husband :)

Thank you for your reply. It put my mind at ease. I tested again cd 35 and faint bfp!!! I'm excited... Still can't really believe it. Testing tomorrow morning again. My boobs are so sore and I've been getting weird "pressure" type headaches. I know it is super eary and since this is my first pregnancy I am also very nervous. Baby dust to all. ❤

Congrats teewinter! Hope it's a sticky bean! Let us know how it progresses!

Lola, thanks for sharing your story, that sounds Incredibly stressful especially with the time crunch. It's possible to get pregnant in 2 months, but often it takes several months just to get your dosage right so that you can have a chance! I deal with stress by running it out, writing about it in my blog, and venting here on TWW. I hope you get a little magic this month! You should have already ovulate or be your way to ovulating now! Do you temp or use OPKs? Or are you being monitored? It's nice to know when you can test!

Hi ladies,

I know I was off on my dates before and I am wondering if anyone can help put my mind at ease. I tested positive on sept. 11th. I know I could have ovulated late but I was guessing I am about 6 weeks. Went in today for a doctor's appointment as I was told to make a an appointment a couple weeks after testing positive. The ultrasound preformed today showed I was 4 weeks and one day, my pregnancy app says that conception would have been the 14th of September it I am four weeks along... This seems like a big red flag to me. I have had cramping off and on since early September and this morning I had a little brown spotting. The doctor kept advising on what to expect with a miscarrage but did say he saw no blood pooling and saw a visible fetal pole. I feel so confused... I won't go back in for ten days but I feel this won't be a sticky bean. :( I want to stay optimistic but today made my heart break.

I admire the strength you ladies have... I had no idea how much heartache goes into all this. I truly wish it was easier and send lots of love and warm wishes to all.
