Clomid and Fatigue?

Postby LolaInLove » Thu Sep 10, 2015 6:57 pm

Good evening Ladies,
Have any of you experienced extreme fatigue durring the days leading up to ovulation with Clomid?
I am on my first round of Clomid (50mg-cd5-9). It is now cd14 and the last couple of days, and especially today, I feel completely exhausted. It's gotten to the point where I went to bed early last night but I missed both my alarm and back up alarm this morning and ended up late for work, which NEVER happens to me. If anything I usually wake up early.
I'm also experiencing the mood swings, hot flashes, and nightly head aches, which I've read is normal.
Hoping this onset of fatigue means the Clomid is working its magic and it is just another side effect to deal with on our baby making journey. Today I also had ewcm for the first time ever in my life so im guessing the exhaustion is tied into starting ovulation. Maybe? Any input is greatly appreciated!

YES! I'm always super tired and bloated (definently not feeling like I want to BD) right up until a few days after ovulation. It also gives me terrible headaches and moodswings.

Sorry I just saw that someone had replied. I did not get a bfp my September cycle, I didn't actually ovulate that month. Doctor upped me to 100 mg (still cd5-9) and this month I got my first positive OPK :) cd 21 blood work said my progesterone level was 27! I was psyched. We didn't end up catching the egg that time but there's still hope for this cycle. Now I'm cd 6 so my second dose of clomid is tonight for this cycle. Still completely exhausted all the time but its worth it! Fingers crossed this is our month!

Good luck Lola!

My first round of clomid was 50mg which didn't work (didn't ovulate) so my doctor has bumped me up to 100mg this round, and i'm on CD2 & day 2 of clomid (taking it CD1-5). I didn't get many side effects from the 50mg round (one headache, one night of hot flashes, 2 random nose bleeds lol) and i'm hoping I don't get many from the 100mg round but i'm kind of expecting to. Last night was great, not even a headache. Some hot flashes today but minimal. Hopefully that's it lol.

Have you experienced the fatigue this cycle as well? I can't say fatigue was one of my s/e, but i'm not surprised if it is a clomid s/e. All this messing with hormones has to take an effect right? Lol! I hope I don't get nose bleeds this time =|

Edit: Nevermind I just saw that you said you're exhausted LOL -facepalm-
Well I hope it gets easier for you!
