Clomid AND Femara?

Postby Pdavis2423 » Thu May 26, 2016 7:48 pm

Has anyone ever done both in the same cycle? If so, could you tell me how well it worked and what dosages you took?

I tried clomid from 50mg-150mg and never responded. I switched to femara and only got 1 follicle on 7.5mg. So now my OB wants me to try taking 7.5mg of femara in the morning and 50mg of clomid at night days 3-7. At first I was excited to try something new in hopes of getting more follicles. But now that I can't find anything online about it and I'm starting to panic. I don't want to waste a month trying clomid again when I know the 7.5mg of clomid works!

Hey, I have a similar situation. Last month I produced an 18 with just 5mg of fermara for 5 days. This cycle all under 13 so my RE has me on clomid now on cd 13-16 to try and get them to grow a little more... He said that new research shows that they can work well together. I've never written on here before, but it is nice to hear of someone else going through something similar. -D

I've heard of this before. Please trust your doctor-if you have questions, call and clarify or get a second professional opinion. We are all guessing around here :) docs don't get any kick back from clomid or Femara as its almost always covered by insurance. I'd hate for any of us to lead you astray.
