1st round of clomid 50 mg days 5-9

Sat Dec 10, 2016 6:31 pm

Im taking my first round of clomid on cd 5-9. When should I expect to ovulate? I normally am a later ovulater like days 21/22. Im hoping it helps me o sooner. If this month I don't get a bfp dr is going to increase my dose for 2 more months then if no success she is switching me to Femara. I have 4 kids. It took 4 years for my first but the others came easily. We have been trying for our last for 16 months now. Im 36 and so is dh. Last time I was pregnant was at 33. Im quite surprised my fertility went downhill so quickly. Any advice appreciated.

In general, you ovulate 7-10 days after your last clomid pill but I've read heaps of stories online of women ovulating really soon after their final pill and really late. On my first round of clomid CD2-6, I ovulated CD18+ (But I had pneumonia at the start/during treatment).

Are you being monitored via ultrasound or anything? That'll give a much better indication of potential ovulation. :) good luck. I hope you only need this one round.

You sound just like me except for the fact I have no children. I'm on my first round clomid 50mg cd 5-9. My doctor believes I ovulated yet somehow length of my period has not been reduced. I usually have a 36-37 day cycle and cd 30 progesterone was 34 (previously was 1 indicating I did not ovulate). I wish I could answer your question but I'm also stumped as to when I ovulated. I am now on CD 34 of my usual 36/37 waiting for AF to rear her ugly head and on to ttc 21 months... so frustrating

I ended up with a 40 day cycle. It also lengthened my lp.
