I am currently on cycle day 15. I had one of my rare natural periods. I took 5 mg of femara CD 3-7. I went in on CD 12 and had a lot of small follicles, no sign of growing follicles. The doctor prescribed me femara 7.5 mg taking it CD 12-16. I will have an appointment CD 21, to see if I have mature follicles, and doctor will tell me when to trigger ovulation with ovidrel 250 mcg/ 0.5 mL. No IuI this cycle, only timed intercourse (every other night). Husband SA is good. My HSG is good. Have ovulated with 200 mg in the past but that was with Obgyn so no monitoring. First cycle with monitoring and with this RE. I am also taking metformin 100 mg every night for type 2 diabetes (I was diagnosed a couple months ago, trying to keep it under control). Also taking prenatal vitamins. Will probably use pre-seed when BDing closer to ovulation time (after ovidrel). Any advice? Anyone on here in a similar position? Any buddies? People with type 2 diabetes and pcos, what worked for you?

Bumping this post. Please someone give me their success story, or similar experience? It is so hard to post on here and then not get any response. Maybe its the femara thats got me so moody. I cry very easily, I also have had symptoms of back pain and some abdominal discomfort. If you're reading this, just reply something, even if it is just "hi"

Hey there! I'm on the same regimen - first cycle actually. I was recently diagnosed PCOS, which was kind of a huge relief to at least finally get an answer!

I'm currently CD 23 (Femara 5mg CD 3-10, Ovidrel on CD 17). FF pinpointed ovulation to CD 20, so now it's the dreaded TWW. My husband and I also did timed intercourse, since everything else came back normal other than my body only ovulating "sometimes" according to the RE. I'm REALLY nervous but trying to remain hopeful/logical. Even if it doesn't happen this cycle, at least we know my body is capable of ovulating AND it responds well to the meds. =)

I'm sorry I don't have a crazy awesome BFP story for you, but just wanted to let you know you're not alone on this journey! Sending all the positive vibes and baby dust to you!!
