HELP! Newbie to charting and need some help on analysis :)

Postby Bella14 » Mon Aug 01, 2011 12:25 pm

Can someone check out my chart and tell me if the dip today is a sign headed toward a BFN :( Or if I should still have hope. I am having some symptoms like big sore BBs, gassy, crampy, tired. I am new to charting and have been TTC since April. Thanks for your help!!

Not necessarily. It could go up tomorrow. Maybe it's just an implantation dip. It's still early. Don't count yourself out yet. FX!!:)

Hi,

How do I post my chart - can I post it using the free chart or do I need to be a paying customer?

Thx

If u use fertility friend u can go to the menu at the top under Sharing and setup homepage and copy paste the link in your post. There may be an easier or better way but that's what I did :)

That looks good to me...hopefully it's a BFP when you next test - any other symptoms.

Just wondering if taking your temperature once up and out of bed makes any difference?

I have been taking mine everyday but once i've got up and had a bath as that's the most convenient time for me.

Hi there ~ it is important to take your temp before you get out of bed...getting out of bed and moving around will skew the results and not give you a clear picture of what is going on. Basal means at rest, hence basal body temp is your temp when your body is at rest.

Blondie, in another thread you mentioned that your chart didn't seem to have any consistency. If you are taking your temp after you get up and get moving, this is why. If you want to take a look at my chart it is in my sig. and you can see that there is a clear shift when I O and it is clear what is going on. It will definitely help you if you take your temp before you get out of bed. I keep my thermometer right next to my bed and a couple of days of doing it and it becomes habit. Hope that helps. :D Good luck!!

Oh that explains a lot then - I need to get into the habit of doing that, hopefully I can start tomorrow and it wouldn't of messed anything up too badly.

Thanks for your help.

Blonde - I keep mine next to my bed too, I think it's the easiest place to keep it to keep yourself from getting out of bed before you temp. Hopefully with a consistent temp time ur chart will get clearer :) I'm so crazy about not waking up at the same time that now my body wakes itself up before the alarm even goes off hah and I'm even dreaming about temps and babies and craziness ... Hope that's just a pregnancy sign :)

I will have mine next to my bed from tonight onwards, thing is though I get up for work at 5.45am so during the week it will be taken then but of weekends it could be any time, hopefully this will not affect anything.

I know what you mean about the dreams, I have had them too - I even had one the other day where I could feel the baby in my arms - v.strange.

Just wanted to say, it's so nice to have you girls to chat to. My DH thinks I have lost the plot and says our sex life is no longer fun as I am always charting, he swears blind you can get preggers whenever and that it's not just the 2 days. Keeps me sane having you lot who understand x

I'm in the same boat, I get up at 5:30 during the week and like to sleep in on the weekends but to get a good chart you should set your alarm even on the weekends and just take ur temp and go back to bed. I know it stinks and it's hard to fall back asleep sometimes but that would help keep more accurate results.
