Which temp do I use?

Postby lperkins1283 » Mon Aug 08, 2011 8:43 am

Ok so this morning my alarm went off this morning for me to take my temp. I dropped my thermometer in my sheets and it took me a couple of minutes to find it. My temp then was 97.03. I fell back asleep for about 30 minutes. I took my temp again when I woke up. It was 98.05. Which temp do I use? Thanks for your help! :)

I'd definitely use the first one.

Don't let a temp dip that big discourage you though. At 6 dpo it could be an implantation dip. When I was pg with #1 I had a huge temp dip way below coverline at 7 dpo, and when I was pg with #2 I had a dip at 6 dpo.

Dips are no fun to see, but lovedork is right. FX it's ID. It could also be a fallback rise. I see that you had a dip in your previous chart around 6 DPO. FX your temp goes up tomorrow and stays up past your lp!!! :luck:

I'm eager to see what your temp is today! I had a major dip this morning (at 4 dpo) which is SO nerve wracking, so today I know how you were feeling yesterday.

I agree that it's possible you didn't O yet. Keep bd'ing. I'm having a super long fluke cycle and I didn't O until day 45, but I kept thinking I O'd at certain points and then my temps would tank again. I had to keep bd'ing just in case, but it paid off once I finally had my clear, obvious O. It was tiring!!

Im just not having any other signs of O now. Can your temp slowly rise after implantation, or does it have to be a spike? i have my first dr. Appt today about our infertility. FX they help me out! :)

I hate to say this, but looking at your other charts, it looks like you might not be O'ing. Bring a copy of your charts to your dr. appointment today. He might want to put you on clomid or something. Keep us updated!

Just fyi- 8 years ago my best friend wasn't O'ing so the dr put her on clomid and she got her bfp that first month. You must be excited to go to the doctor today and take that first step in increasing your chances for you bfp! Best of luck!
