1st month charting please help! :(

Postby lgreen » Wed Dec 16, 2015 4:06 am

Hello Ladies!

This is going to be a long post, but please, stay with me! :)

So this is my first month temping and only my second month TTC, I'm still trying to get to grips with my cycles.

Last month I didn't OPK or temp, just assumed I O'd on CD10 from CM and O pains and dry all month after that. Now this month I temped, OPK'd and charting CM & symptoms - I started OPK on CD3 because of the early assumed O last month and got my pos on CD7 and had my temp dip CD10, as expected, but on CD15/5DPO I had another temp dip and pos OPK.

Do you think I just geared up to O and didn't on CD10 and am now, or just a second LH surge?

I've had so much post O symptoms between CD10 and now, CD16?!

Hi lgreen, I don't see a clear shift in your temps yet. It looks like you may be gearing up to O now, although CM isn't matching with it. You might need a few more days to see what's going on. When in doubt, hump it out  You had really good timing for the first surge, can't hurt to keep it going :D

How long are your cycles normally? Are they short (like 20-24d) or longer (28-35d). Your LP will typically be in the 12-15d range, so early O usually means shorter cycles, while longer cycles means later O. That said, TTC can really screw with your cycles... I had a very regular 30-32d cycle prior to TTC (I'd been tracking for 8mo), but once we started TTC, it ranged anywhere from 26-35d, with O happening anywhere from CD12-CD20! So, don't worry if your cycles vary a bit while TTC...

All that said, I tend to agree with the above poster. Keep BD'ing and keep taking opks and see if you see a more obvious shift in temp in the next few days...
