Early O? Any opinions?

Postby carrotk » Sun Jan 03, 2016 11:23 am

So I've only charted for 2 other complete cycles, but both times I O'd around CD 17. I wasn't tracking on the cycle I got my last BFP but the only day we BD'd was CD 10 so I always thought it was a little odd and maybe I was ovulating earlier than I thought. I don't always get the best sleep, so temps are a little rocky. This cycle I've gotten ewcm earlier and more than ever. This morning FF gave me CH on CD10 which is just crazy for me so I thought I'd try posting here to see if anyone has an opinions. If I switch to FAM for ovulation detection I get no CH, but its on CD 10 for both advanced and research methods. I know the best thing to do would be to just wait and see how the month goes and BD EOD just in case, but I just wanted to see if anyone had any thoughts!

Notes: CD 5 I had a few drinks the night before and restless sleep and restless sleep and early waking the night before CD 13

I definitely think it looks like you O'd considering your CM. Have you checked your CP?

Would love to see your CD17 O charts. Are your typical cycles 31 days?

Thanks for responding! My cycles are typically 28 days, but can range from 27-29. I've kind of given up on charting CP because it always seems to vary throughout the day for me and I don't really see a consistent pattern with it. I do have a retroverted uterus so I'm not sure if that makes a difference. I'm going to try and attach my two other cycles I tracked and my bfp cycle (even though theres not really much data).

I also have a retroverted uterus!

I hear you on cp, typically I am just feeling whether it's firm or soft, unless of course it's freakishly high or low. Since I have two kids already its pretty much nice and open feeling all the time haha!

The Jan cycle looks more like ovulation on CD 14 to me, which also would match up with AF that cycle on a 28 day cycle.

The other chart your CM matches up, but it looks like maybe ovulation two days before the cross hairs IMO.

Alas, those charts are so old your cycles could have changed up a bit.

Thanks for the input I really appreciate it! I was wondering if since my charts are so old if I've just changed since then. I mean, ovulating earlier definitely makes sense given the one time I got pregnant we DTD much earlier in my cycle. I didn't really think about it until just now, but both of those charts are also from before I got my thyroid numbers into the normal range. I've read so many times that your LP rarely varies I just assumed it would have stayed the same over the years but I'm excited to see how things turn out! I would definitely love to have a longer LP for sure.

Also since giving birth my cervix basically always feels open as well lol. I've pretty much given up hope on tracking anything other than temp and cm haha.

Oh yeah, getting your thyroid under control could definitely affect everything!

I'm actually waiting on results to see if I have an overactive thyroid... just posted about it in general chat. In a way I hope that it is overactive so that my syptoms can be treated. It's been an absolute nightmare and if it's nothing I might have to check myself in somewhere.

My temp was a lot lower than I expected it to be today. I did wake up a go to the bathroom about 2 hours before I took my temp though, so not sure if that's affecting it. I always seem to have trouble sleeping right when my temps matter the most! FF moved O from CD 10 to CD 11, still had ewcm yesterday but it definitely seemed like it was transitioning more to sticky/creamy so I think I really have ovulated. Still in shock/disbelief haha.

Oh I totally know what you mean! I had symptoms of under active thyroid for a long time but the first time I got tested the doc told me I was fine. I was young at the time and made the mistake of not asking to see the results my self. I'm guessing I must have been borderline at the time. It wasn't until almost 8 years later I insisted on getting tested again and sure enough my numbers were off. It definitely made me feel a little crazy when there was supposedly nothing wrong!

And how cool our daughters have the same bday! Was yours close to her due date? My LO came 8 days after her "due date" haha.

OMG I remember on her EDD I was dead set on "walking her out" and DH and I went to the mall and walked and walked and I stopped at a kiosk selling customized ornaments and one of the ones she tried to sell me was of a snowman/woman couple and the woman snowman was pregnant. I got so pissed. LOL!!! I snapped at her that I wouldn't be pregnant at Christmas.

Your chart looks decent. About as up and down as mine. lol

Sorry for being MIA, I've had a hard time keep track of posts with the "view your posts" page being down.

Oh my goodness that's too funny! I went to the mall to walk her out the day after my due date and I guess I was absentmindedly rubbing my belly when this man walks up to me (out of nowhere) and proceeds to explain to me "I see how you're rubbing that baby, I bet you think it's coming soon but it's not. You're still rubbing up high, that baby's got a long way to drop before it's ready." I guess he was right because it was still a week before she was born, but omg I thought I was going to slap him!!!

FF now says that my chart "might" be triphasic. I'm feeling optimistic, but trying to not put too much weight into it. How are you feeling? your temps still look pretty high!

This morning I was going to say it looked kinda triphasic! I'm having the weirdest cycle. Everything looks good, but didn't temp this am because I woke up at 2AM.. and stayed up for the day... ugh!

After yesterday's temp dip I was certain AF was going to show last night, but still nothing! My boobs were hurting so bad yesterday and the day before, had increased appetite, everything pointed to my normal PMS stuff... but today nothing. No cramping or anything. I swore I had started a few times last night, but nope.

Two BFNs today at both 2 am and roughly 6am because I was having line-o-vision. Still have the tests out... definitely stark white. Maybe it's the calm before some insane period...
