Charting while breastfeeding

Postby tryingnumber3 » Thu Apr 21, 2016 6:19 pm

Is it possible to bbt accurately while breastfeeding and cosleeping? My baby is 9 months old and I have yet to have a pp period and am on the mini pill. We're thinking about possibly trying again in August, but I kind of want to stop the pill now and see if I ovulated and when.

I just replied to your other thread, but yes, it's absolutely possible! I've charted "breastfeeding" cycles for 10 years now (minus pregnancy time). My charts are just as accurate and successful as they were when I was not breastfeeding and I don't even worry about temping at the EXACT same time anymore (I used to temp to an alarm years ago...now it's just within an hour or so).

I've charted with BFing, it works, it's just you sort of have to learn that really wakeful nights with LOs will alter your temps a bit.
