Need help! When did I ovulate?? Slow rise BBT?

Postby blushingpink84 » Mon May 02, 2016 4:27 pm

Hi, this is my first cycle using FF and up until yesterday it was showing cross hairs on CD23, which is when I think I ovulated based on CM, OPK, and very uncomfortable O cramping CD22-23. However, after I entered my temp this morning FF moved the cross hairs to indicate O on CD25. This is obviously a big surprise to me since I could've sworn I O'd on CD23, and it's worrying me because DH and I didn't BD the days after CD23 :( Could FF be wrong and I just had a slow temp rise after O or does it really look like CD25 was the correct day? Any feedback is appreciated. TIA!

By the way, the chart below is after I overrode O day back to CD23.

I would think you o'd on cd 23, because of the +opk and cm. Even if it was the 25, you would still have some swimmers waiting up there.

Jessica - Thank you! I really appreciate your opinion. I've been going crazy wondering what's going on with my O date. I thought FF would make me feel more in control of my cycles, but sometimes I feel like it's doing the opposite. I'm on TTC #1 for 2+ years (on and off with 1 early loss) and I feel like my anxiety goes up after every unsuccessful cycle.

Hi!

I've also felt the same way with fertility tracking apps. It made me confused and I could never understand how the app got my ovulation date. Or how to predict my fertile period for the future.

So I devised my own spreadsheet to help me manually pinpoint my ovulation day and each time I was right. I could also predict when I fertile period before hand.

I used my spreadsheet on your data, and got some numbers for you:

Based on your temps, FF is right with your ovulation day being on CD25. Notice the set of low temps and set of high temps.

From my spreadsheet I identified your fertile period for next month as CDs 11 to 26. This is based on your creamy as the start and the ovulation as the end.

BD every second day in this period, and everyday when you see EWCM or wet. Good luck!

Oh, and another thing, did you take your temps the same time every day? That's a big factor in it being accurate.
