Need Help with Chart

Postby » Mon May 23, 2016 3:23 am

Hey Ladies,

I have a quick question. I am new to charting and temping, and pretty much all things with this. This is our fourth month trying and I am trying to see if I understand things right. I had some spotting yesterday, 10dpo, and then my temp was up this morning. Is it possible that this is implantation spotting?? Would it be too early to take a test today or should I wait longer? Any help would be great!

It sounds like it could have been implantation. You can take a test but don't be disappointed if it won't show anything yet try again tomorrow.

Looks like you didn't start temping until part-way through your cycle. How long are your cycles normally? Without any "pre-O" temps, it's hard to say when you ovulated and what dpo you are today. Only temps can confirm ovulation, and honestly, from the temps that you do have, I think that CD23 could possibly be O day for you, as your temps raised after that. You've got good BD'ing in there to cover that base as well. Spotting could still be implantation as 7dpo is definitely in the range for implantation to occur.

No matter your O date, those flat-lined temps look very promising to me... several girls in my DDC last year had BFP charts with flat temps like that! As the previous poster said, you'll probably want to wait a day or two before taking a test as it typically takes 2-3d after implantation for hcg to rise to detectible levels. So, with spotting on Sunday morning, if you could hold out until tomorrow or wednesday....

And remember, if you do get a bfp, the dating of your pregnancy will be based on O day (+ 2wks) rather than by the start of your lmp. So, if CD23 did happen to be your O day (and I"m not say it is, but just in case), don't be surprised (or worried) if your first sonogram dates your pregnancy 7-10d younger than you anticipate.
