Cd1 here. Can vitex help early ovulation or is it just for long cycles?

I think I read somewhere it can help with short luteal phases but not sure about anything else.

Failed pregnancy. Sigh. We were hopeful, but we'll keep trying.

I'm so sorry. That's just lousy. Theory states you are more fertile in the next few months so I'll be cheering for you!

You know, that is so weird. I never heard that but my daughter was conceived the first cycle after our previous miscarriage. Huh. Who knew. Seeing that positive test and feeling that rush to meet a new little one has totally geared me back up for trying. We will def be doing all the things over the next few months. Baby dust to you all.

Thanks mimimama! I hope so, too. It's hard! Miscarried #3. Makes it hard to keep trying!

11 dpo here. I think we missed our window, though. I am having slight nausea and cramping, but I'm on progesterone suppositories so that pretty much negates any symptoms I can conjure up. I refuse to test yet. Just can't bring myself to do it.

I'm like 15dpo but haven't ovulated yet. When do you start progesterone? My MD suggested starting it the next time around but at a positive test. Sounds like you take it all the time? And I have to ask - how was it carrying in your mid to later 40's? I'm a little worried my body can't do it. Trying to walk and stretch to stay healthy but sooooo different than my 20 yo body!

@MercyMe - have you checked out immune and genetics (karyotyping) issues?

I take it from 6 or 7 dpo until 14, then test. Carrying in my 40s wasn't any different. My best pregnancy was with #8 at 43. Then the next one, at 44, was only worse because it was a girl and I was nauseous. If I'm on b6 BEFORE I'm pregnant, I do great.

@mimimama, honestly, I don't even know what that would be. I saw my doctor (before and after the MC) and she doesn't offer much besides the "we don't know why these things happen" speech. I'm discouraged by her attitude, but feel in part it's true.

@momofnine I am so glad to hear that. And especially that you had a baby at 43. I feel so crazy but if my body can do this why not!?

@mimimama I've not heard of either of these things. Would I see a different doctor? The more I ponder my last visit with my MD the more I believe she isn't supportive bc of my age. I left there wishing I could prove her wrong some how.

After 4 chemical pregnancies, my doctor did bloodwork. He probably would've done them earlier but I didn't go in. We weren't trying so I had the attitude of "what will be, will be". (Now I feel robbed and want that baby!) He found me to be "slightly positive for protein c", which means I'm on baby aspirin from a positive test until a week before delivery. He put me on progesterone as a precaution, saying it won't save a doomed pregnancy but could really help a healthy one. Go to a different doctor!
