Many congrats on your pregnancy. I own a Doppler and can hear my babies at 8 weeks two days. BUT.... It takes forever to find it, it's so faint that I can either hear glimpses and not see the reading on the screen or can only see the reading and not hear it. It's like that until 10 weeks and then I can find it easier. It tajes a long time of trying and even when you do, just changing the angle even slightly you have to look for it again. You can rent dopplers online.

I'm really sorry to hear about your losses. That hurts so bad. I've been reading about natural progesterone cream. They say it's too low in older women and can cause repeated miscarraiges. If your luteal phase is shorter, that's a sign of low progesterone. The placenta takes over making it at 12 weeks so you're supposed to use it until then. You can buy it over the counter (here, US) or online. You may want to check into that if you haven't already. I don't know the dosages yet, still trying to figure that out.

Congrats on your baby and wishing you many blessings.

ttc @ almost 45 after tubal reversal

Postby aphroditeyiolou » Thu Jan 20, 2011 2:34 am

Hi Annie, I am new on here and also from the uk. Hows everything going with you. I have been reading your story just wanted an update as i am almost 45 and had tubal reversal in november 2010 in the USA. Last december i had every sympyom going and more, tested all bfn and then started spotting 5 days later but still not had a proper af. As far as i know i ovulated on 5th january and had bd'd every other day. had major cramping from 4dpo right through to 10 dpo, then some hearetburn but now nothing at all. Today i am 15 dpo. anything to go on would help me through this awful 2 wkwt. lots of baby dust to you and wishing you all the stickiness in the world.

Hi aphroditeyiolou, thanks for your post, its good to give you hope, yes i am doing okay, am now over half way there at 28 weeks, so hopefully i can relax a little bit. Will feel better when little one is born safely but am keeping as calm as i can and trying to enjoy these last few weeks.

I wish there was some advice i could give but the only thing i did differant was to take a daily asprin. You seem to be doing the the right things especially the BD ing so at least you know you are doing all you can.

There is still hope and thats all i had, good luck and fingers crossed you get the BFP soon.

xxxx ann

you are not alone!
I am 44 (I'll be 45 in April) and 7 weeks pregnant.
Its pretty scary alright.
First the 2ww, then to see if things go all the way to the 12 ww, then what the scans show...nerve wrecking.
I have my scan on wednesday to asses heartbeat, size etc.
I see you are now at the safe zone, so you are about to meet your little bundle soon....lots of luck!

Waiting over the next days/weeks to miscarry!

I was induced and I do remember it hurting although I don't remember it being for long! I don't know if that's helpful but I thought I would mention it. :)
