Welcome and best of luck. There have been success stories on here. I have actually been pregnant 4 times in my forties but unfortunately all have ended in losses for me. I will be 44 in one month....odds are so very slim now, but still hoping and trying.

Welcome and good luck to you this month, let us know how you get on. As Halifax says, there are success stories on here, but it does get harder once you get past that horrible 40 point :x ....not always impossible, just harder! Hopefully you ladies will be lucky ones. xx

I am 40 and got pregnant naturally with my second after 13 years with one tube, the other side is blocked. I also have endometriosis stageIV and many fibroids on the outside of my uterus. Now that you know your hormones are fine help yourself with some natural supplements and a good organic diet especially meats. Red raspberry leave tea did it for me after taking it for 2 cycles. I continue to drink a cup everyday the baby is fine, but I have been so sick. I have all the symptoms in the book, but happy to be pregnant. The other important thing is enjoy yourself I got pregnant once we decided to take a break for the holidays since my family came to the U.S. to spend the holidays. The month I was not paying attention to ovulation, CM, and my body in general I got pregnant. I always read people saying to relax and once I really relax it happen to me. Good luck!

Hi Linty,
Lots of ladies can get pregnant naturally after 40, especially in the 40-42 age category. Most ladies find it harder from 43 onwards with mich fewer success stories (a few ladies are luckier).
I had two naturally, conceived at 40 and a half, and at 41 and three-quarters, the first took four months to conceive, the second was in month one.
I have never been to a doctor to ask about fertility, but I did take the herb Vitex Agnus-Castus (it doesn't mix with fertility treatment though if you go on meds) which helps a lot of ladies in their early forties, plus 15 mg zinc a day and some folic acid. I also ate some tinned sardines, some blueberries, some hazelnut pastem and some wholegrain brown rice every day and cut out all the rubbish. Whole grains of all kinds seem to be very good for embryos, especially oats.
A lot will also depend on your husband. Both of you could get checked out as it helps to know eveything is working if trying naturally for both of you.
Hope that helps,
Brionne

Thank you Masada, will KUP. I had another temp rise this morning but only 7dpo - you see i am already planning everything :? Strange how we can go overboard with everything.

Brionne, that is good news. I will really check everything i eat and drink now. I am from SA so hope i can get some of the stuff you talking about.
Hubby will go in May (hopefully) for tests if BFN this cycle.

You all seems like a nice bunch of ladies - glad i joined!!

Hi Everyone,
Liz - Sorry to hear you're having a hard time there. Just hang on in there and keep doing the right stuff. The time will pass and every week won brings your baby closer to the safe zone. Hoping you have stuff to read/watch there to take your mind off it all. One lady on another site I was on spent about half her pregnancy on bedrest but despite the boredom, everything turned out OK with the baby in the end - I think he also ended up overdue:)
Linty - Hope you get better luck this time around, just remember, if it's going to happen, it just usually takes longer at our age:)
