Fittblonde - Thanks so much. While I wish this pain on no one it does feel good to know others understand what your going through. I am so sorry for your losses. Right now I am on xanax and percocet the doctor gave me and I know thats not the best way to cope. I have been breaking down crying off and on. I am having flashbacks to the day I miscarried and one in particular was when I took my pants off in the ER and so much blood and thick huge clots etc fell out on the floor. Blood was everywhere. I wondered if my baby was on the floor or what was left when they did the d&c. It bothers me and that picture is seared in my brain. I wonder if I am having PTSD about this. Can you tell me what your doctor has told you about trying again? My doc mentioned in the hospital in a month or two. DH only wants to try one more time and I understand yet a our age it takes a bit longer to catch the right egg. Sorry if I am rambling here or typing sucks but I have taken my pills.

Kierann...I am so sorry. That is such a painful visual. I can't even imagine how that must make you feel. It is so hard when you want something so bad and you have ZERO control over what happens. It just seems so unfair. I understand and it is so hard to pick yourself up and be positive. I would seek some professional help if you are able. Sometimes just talking to someone can give you tools to deal with a traumatic situation. I have dealt with some pretty aweful things in my life and I know therapy has made me a stronger woman. I feel that I am better able to deal with my losses from the tools I learned from therapy. I know it isn't for everyone but it helped me greatly in every area of my life. If nothing else, join a loss support group. You are not alone in your journey. I have my husband but feel as though I don't want to dump all my emotions onto him. Other women who have been through this is a better avenue for me to get though the tough times. There are so many options available to us today. Don't give up hope. I am turning to IVF and if unsuccessful with my own eggs I will use a donor. We are self pay but I feel this is something well worth going into debt for. As my husband says we have our entire life to make money but only a few short years to have a baby. I hope you heal soon and there are so many of us here to help you along the way. There are some really special ladies on this board.

Oh, forgot to mention that my perinatologist advised that I wait two full periods before trying again. It seems like a long time but I am glad I had the time to heal. I am just now ready to start the IVF process

kierann, im sorry for your loss! i havent been over here in a while, i used to be an active member on this board, but sometimes life gets busy. i wanted to give u a little hope. i got my bfp almost 2 yrs to the day at age 41 yrs and 9 months after 8 cycles of trying. my previous pregnancy to that was a chemical that devastated me and i was so upset when the father told me he didnt want to try after that. it took a lot of persuading to get him to get on board. we arent together anymore, but i have my baby lily that i gave birth to at 42.5 years! she is a blessing and i just want u to know that there is hope and there are quite a few ladies who have passed thru here as well who had successful pregnancies and healthy babies. u are only 40. there is still time. take the time u need to heal. that is very important. if u need to take xanax and percocet, right now then take it. i hope to be seeing u post another bfp here in the very near future!

Hi Layla, I remember you back when you first got pregnant with your LO. I am so glad to hear your doing good and you are a wonderful support to the ladies on here.

Fittblonde - Thanks so much again. I think I will take your advice and seek some therapy and make that call today. Two months is what my doctor said too and I am okay with that because I think I need the two month break from it all anyway. I am excited for you and your upcoming IVF process! It sounds like you and your DH are not going to let anything stop you from getting that baby or babies (: and that is wonderful. I pray the process goes smoothly for you and you have a beautiful easy pregnancy.
