Probably silly concern...

Postby Luvsdogs » Fri Nov 16, 2012 7:58 am

Hi all, I will check in later with All of u when dd naps. I have a concern this month about getting pg. I would hate to skip a month of TTc and I know DH would not want to, but I am worried about the timing of things. I am in retail and really enjoy my job. I also can get really tired from 8 hours on my feet. My last pregnancy I was exhausted at 5 weeks already and I had a desk job!!!. If I were to get pg it would fall right at the before Xmas rush and I don't know how I could make it through 2 plus weeks. If I did muster through it, is it bad for the baby and my chances of it being a sticky bean? Sigh

Thanks for the vote of confidence ER. Found out too that we are extending our hours for the two weeks prior to Christmas. I am sure DH won't want to miss a month either but I will still see what he thinks when he gets home. Didn't look at your chart yet. About ready to O? :D

I too would not skip a month and as far as I know working you butt off won't hurt a pg:). might suck for you though:)

Take advantage of every month. That way you can't look back with regret. Plus I imagine being on your feet and getting that retail 'exercise' is probably good for you and your pregnancy. Just go for it. Don't stop now!

Thanks ladies! When DH got home I decided not to even bring it up. Never thought about regretting missing an opportunity. Good point. Here's to hoping I have reason to be tired soon!

You might be tired but I don't think it will harm the babe. I have many working friends who worked on their feet all day long and they all delivered healthy babes. My one friend who is due in a few weeks works 40- 60hrs per week through this entire pregnancy! She already cut her hrs from 80 per weeks. She's a Doctor and wanted to take a year off after the baby arrives so she's trying to make some extra cash in order to do that.

So I think you will be fine. Good luck!
