COQ10 have you experienced any side effects?

Postby Second_Chance » Mon Nov 19, 2012 8:19 am

Its me again... LOL

This is sort of a continuation from my pre natal/synthroid post. For the details see that post. :)

I stopped taking COQ10 at the same time I stopped taking the pre natal for fear it may be causing me to be sick everyday.

Has anyone expereinced side effects from/while taking COQ10? I have been taking it for 5 months now and have had no issues until the last month and honestly dont know if the pre natal vitamin is what is making me sick or if its the COQ10 that is doing it, so I just stopped taking both. I would like to continue taking it if possible.

Thanks for the feedback.

Sorry I have no advice. I have been seeing a lot of posts about taking several supplements and was wondering if they really do help? What would you recommend?

Supps would depend on what you are trying to improve. Do you have a specific area of your TTC that you think is off?

I stayed on my usual daily multi since my doc said as long as I was getting Folic Acid I didn't need to pay for a pre-natal. They tend to be more expensive since it's a niche market.

I have no issues with CoQ10, the EPO and the DHA I've added to my supp routine. Maybe it's the brand you're having a problem with, and not the supp itself? You should probably try a diff brand and try both supps separately a few days each to see if you're getting the reaction from them. Process of elimination.....

Did you switch brands of prenatal? I have never had an issue with CoQ10 but my fertility natuorpath stated that after 35 the CoQ10 does not absorb as well and switched me to Ubiquinol.

10thtime- the COQ10 is suppose to help with egg quality. Not sure what helps with ovulation.

I recently read that baby aspirin is supposed to help with ovulation, specifically getting more eggs at a time. But I also read it can cause both ovaries to ovulate for a higher chance of twins...anyone else read this?

I never read that Jenni, I'll have to do more research, I only hear baby aspirin helps prevent MCs.
