Hello ladies!

Right - I'll do my best to catch up.

TTC42 - Thanks for letting the newbies know your TTC situation. I had no idea what a tough journey you have been on. I really like the fact that you are still trying and herbs are powerful, so let's hold out hope for you so we can tell the RE where to stick his/her donor eggs! And yes, I concur with the others that they take time to work so hang in there! I see you have tried Acupuncture? I look into that. Glad your Naturopath has had another look at things and gave you some answers. Yes, I got my temp spike to confirm O and got my crosshairs this morn, so am 3 DPO at the mo and am obsessing already although I am trying to keep myself busy. Every time I walk past my phone I click on FF and check my chart LOL! Like anything would have changed in the last five minutes!

tiffanynp wrote:afm...doing okay. Back to real life now. Sad I am not preggos, I would be out of first tri now :(. Now, I am stuck in this exhausting waiting for af to show world  . My hcg last thurs was 226; go back again this thurs for another blooddraw. I am still getting pos opk so there is def still hcg in my system :(. I have heard once it gets to around or below 50ish, you can Ovulate or get your period back. So we shall see. I am on the weight loss train too...I have lost four pounds since Thanksgiving. I had gained 9 with fertility drugs and preg and thanksgiving :(. So sad to say, "I just want to be in a tww"!

Aww this touches my heart and I can sympathize with you - I would have been in the same boat. Chin up and keep on marching on. Great job on the weight loss too and it will only help the TTC process.

re your opk question - I have no idea whatsoever but I think it's great that the HCG is leaving your body nicely. FX for you this cycle.

Second Chance - I would just Bd every other day. My DH has a low sperm count and we were umming and ahhing about when to DTD and the Urologist said every other day will be the best. Apparently, saving up the sperm for one big blow (sorry about word usage but you know what I mean lol) can result in a having a lot of wonky sperm ejaculate. Having said all of this, I am going to try next cycle to test that theory out and make DH wait until CD16 and then do his bit. I like testing theories out.

Brasil - good luck to you. By now you would have had the retrieval part done and then Sunday the placement? 8 eggs is awesome btw - Good luck babes!

Hoopla wrote:AFM, 5DPO. Nothing to report except I was strongly smelling things last night that my DH couldn't. Maybe a sign? Oh, the grasping I do in the 2ww!!

 LOL! I know, I know! I run and check my undies every five mins. One time I was in the lounge and felt a trickle and checked IN THE LOUNGE STILL!!

TTCnumber2at42 wrote:Does anyone test at work? Like do you hide out in the bathroom for 10 minutes waiting for the results lol. What times of the day do you test? Last question, I like to use a cup and collect instead of poas does anyone collect this way when testing at work? Just doing my homework for next month!

Yes me, I collect in a cup and then dip. I have also been known to collect pee in my water bottle and then pee into that if I have had a good hold and it is HPT time! :D

Jenni - Sorry you are out this cycle  FX for a brand new spanking BFP in the new year :praying:

EOE - Hello!

AFM, well I am back from a trip to Nottingham in UK where DH smuggled me into his hotel room (he had a conference to attend for work) and I am happy to be back home with the furbabies and my 19 y/o DD. Nothing much to report here, just 3dpo and trying not to become psychotic in the 2ww. Nine days until either Auntie Flo arrives or testing. Bought some Wondfo's and a two pack of Answer tests and have a Sainsbury's digi here. Not feeling anything much (lol but then you wouldn't at 3dpo would you!!!). Gah someone stop me from obsessing!

That will be me Apples, trying to sneak a cup and an OPK into the bathroom and wait for 10 mins ... I am way to cheap to buy the smiley face OPKs ($80.00 for 20 tests or $4.00/test) my internet OPKs are $0.64 each but take 10 minutes to display

ttc. after dd delivery my O date went from cd14 to c16..it was weird. Not sure about that. Jules did get pregos with early bd with her last child I think. Testing at work...no not me i would be too scared there would be someone waiting outside of the door wanting to use the bathroom (we are a small dept) and then I would be tempted to see if I could carry the stick all the way to my office..now that would be a sight..what if I dropped it..haha!!!
I have to tell you this "5%" thing really makes me NOT HAPPY! I hate hearing that for all of us :(. It might be something we need to remove from our vocabulary like "go to donor eggs"!

Apples...3dpo YAY. And we all obsess, it is okay. thanks for kind words. Went and got a facial yesterday and went to gym..feeling better today.

second, OMG what a crock on the analysis...ugh! I am glad you asked for a copy to be mailed..smart. Trust me we can figure it out for you! For us the thing that worked with dd and mc was bd everyday for 6days in a row...EXHASTING! But, for chemical we only bd once after pos opk.

afm...hcg yesterday was 33!!!! Getting closer ladies. The last two days I have had spotting or brown cm??? And only in the morning. Who knows, maybe that is the start of af??? I have acne (facial didn't help) on my chin like a freaking teenager...really. Personally IMO that should not be allowed anytime after the age of 40!

Thanks for starting a new thread, Apples! I hope things are going well in the 2ww!

Tiffany -I do think having hcg can result in a positive opk, but am not completely positive. I know we are supposed to wait a cycle before TTC after D&C, but if you were to get pregnant before AF, I don't think there is any problem with that other than it would be hard for dating..... My OB told me to wait to let my lining build back up -but if you did get pregnant, then I do think your lining was fine. In other words, I wouldn't worry about the no condom thing. :D I am thrilled that your hcg is at 33! So, either way, you are definitely moving forward. It was funny, after my D&C, there was a day where I all of a sudden felt like I had my body back. It was just about then that I ovulated...... Keep us posted!

TTC#2 -I've never tested at work, but I have flown across town to pee into a cup at home and then after my 5 minutes, read the results and raced back to work! I am also working part-time to be with my little guy at the moment (only 3 days a week), so this definitely helps with the testing!! Good luck with testing at work!

Second -My DH also had trouble with getting his analysis (when he finally did call!) his regular doctor didn't want to interpret and the specialist couldn't get the results from the lab. It took several phone calls that my DH didn't want to make before we finally got the answers. Hope you get yours soon! And yes, early morning can be a bit difficult! I've been known to set the alarm clock for 4:30!!

Jenni -Sorry to hear about the cramps. Has AF made it official? New cycle = new chance!

Brasil -hope things went well! Good luck on Sunday.

Hello All!

How are we all going?

Hoopla - yeah I'm just kind of ignoring the 2WW at the mo. Have spent so many of them thinking that I have hit the jackpot and then been let down and I am just like, "Meh" whatever! How are things for you? I work part-time too (15 hours a week) but no l/o to look after (yet)

Brasil - How did it all go?

SecondC - Yay for two days of +'s! FX for you. CoQ10 is brilliant in so many ways - my DH takes it for his cholesterol.

Tiff - Yay on HCG dropping!

TTC42 - How are you today? Anything new?

EOE - hi!

AFM, Well I have been on the lookout for some kind of temp dip and got one this morning. Now if my temp goes back up tomorrow morn, I will be happy, but right now I am not reading too much into it. Knowing my luck it will continue to drop and drop and then AF will be here on Sunday. I'll stop being a negative nelly though and walk around in hope! My Wondfos and Answer tests arrived in the mail yesterday but I am not testing early.

Have a great day everyone xx

Hi everyone,
I know I have been gone but I have not been feeling well due to my endo. I had my retrieval on Thursday. From 8 eggs they only retrieved 2. It seems the follilcles showed big on the ultrasound but they were not mature inside. I went to work on Friday but could barely walk. Had to hold my tummy. I was in a lot of pain. The dr called to check on me and said it was not normal for me to stop by her clinic. She though maybe I had a perforated organ. She said it was very dangerous for me so I left work at 11. At the dr they decided my endo was attacking me bad and meds were not working for pain but also the enlarged right ovary was causing the pain. The dr called me in the evening and again on Saturday. The embryologist did call and said that only one fertilized because the other one was not fully matured. So from 8 eggs I got one embryo. On Sunday they tranfer it. It was a good quality heatlhy embryo. I took vacation for yesterday and today. Still have light pain. Now I wonder what are my chances wtih one embryo that was icsi but also assisted hatching.

Brasil...so glad you checked back in. Gosh, what a horrible ordeal it sounds like you had to go thru..so so sorry :(. It does only take ONE...I truly hope this is it for you! You deserve this!!! FX. Glad you took vaca; sounds like you def needed it.

Hoopla, in your post you didn't mention how you are?? How are you? I did hear someone say that if you had a natural mc (I did) then your lining should be fine to go forward with trying before af. I am not sure I beleive that seeing how my spotting is still brown and pretty continous with little tissue type pieces to it. I'm thinking I might need a good af first. Who knows.

Apples, YAY for temp dip. FX you get a temp rise tomorrow and that hope just just goes crazy for you!!!

Second, I love two days of smiley face...just makes me smile. Knowing I caught it twice and had that much time to get all of those sperm up there!!!

afm..took an hpt on sunday and today. The one today has a VERY, very faint line but it is still there. Hoping and praying that Thursday is my last blood draw. I am totally over that! I hate needles! Also hoping the weekend brings af or next week brings O.

Hello ladies. I haven't been checking in for a while. We had some damage to our basement as a result of Hurricane Sandy and I have been dealing daily (seemingly hourly) with variuos contractors now that FEMA has come through with some funds. I have been working from home since the storm hit in late October because my office building in lower Manhattan, NYC was significantly damaged. That effectively volunteered me to deal with all the home repair stuff. Very stressful keeping up with all the contractors, dates, etc.. :?

So let me try to catch up with everyone....

Brasil - one egg is plenty. Let's hope it is the golden one. So sorry that you had to go through such a difficult time for the retrieval. Here's hoping fate repays you with a precious little one. :)

Hoopla - so strong smells...what else? Any new signs. Testing when? :)

Apples - maybe the dip was implantation and you could be on your way to happy times. Can't wait to hear about the temp tomorrow.

Second - I stopped to OPKing some time ago as it drove me crazy trying to reconcile the smiley face and the CM. They NEVER agreed. LOL But YAY on two days of smiley faces. Maybe your hormones are stronger this cycle..stronger egg and you will get that magical BFP this month. FX for you. For the first time in a long time, I finally had two days of eggwhite CM. I usually only have one. I am excited that this could be a positive thing with my hormones, cycles. I hope it is not a one shot thing. Time will tell.

Tiff - I don't know anything about HCG and OPK but it is great that it looks like your levels are dropping and will soon return you to "normal". It is always good to have a clear baseline to work off of. You will obsess (as we always do) about everything so no need to have anything clouding the issues, right? LOL

Jenni - I agree with Hoopla - New Cycle, New Chance. I am always thankful that at least I still am having a cycle which means I can still potentially get pregnant. My MIL, who had 4 kids (1 m/c) went through "the change" at 35 so I try to keep things in perspective. My mother had a hysterectomy so no way to tell when I might be genetically deemed to go through the dreaded menopause. :(

AFM - I had to cancel my HSG test for today because I really need to deal with these contractors and make sure they make some good progress before I have to physically return to work later this week or next. Then the main contractor that I canceled for informs me that due to a scheduling error, no work team will be arriving today. Figures! I forget who asked me what the HSG is but here is a description I copied from the internet: An HSG is an outpatient procedure, which takes no longer than a half hour. It involves placing an iodine-based dye through the cervix and taking x-rays to help evaluate the shape of the uterus and whether or not the fallopian tubes are open or blocked. Since I canceled the appointment yesterday we were able to get in one episode of BD last night (we weren't supposed to bd before the test so we had been holding off). My temp rose this a.m. but not as high as usual after O. Although I overslept this am and then jumped out of bed to get ds ready for school and then remembered to temp so I could have O'd already (i.e. temp should be higher than what I actually saw if I took it before getting up) I usually O on CD12 which is today. I hope to try bding again tonight just to increase chances but hubby is working late and I am not a night owl so it is not looking promising. Gotta go, plumber ringing my bell.

Hello girls!

Brasil - as someone said earlier - yes - one embryo is all you need! I mean, I know it is nice if they can put more in there, but one of my sisters had just one transplanted and she is is due in nine weeks (and she is 46!). She just chose for one to be implanted at a time. Good luck to you and KUP!

Tiff - yay for faint line! You are getting closer girl!

Hoopla - yes, how ARE you? :D

Shanessa - Wow - about the basement and hope all goes well with the cleanup/repair. Yay for getting a BD in (even though you weren't meant to - you gotta do, what you have to do :D ) Hope it was your O and that you caught the egg and therefore the HSG will be not needed right? FX. So know what you mean about not being a night owl - nothing worse than having to wake up for sex because you have to DTD!

EOE - :hi:

Temp went back up but BFN on all tests this morn. Meh!

I know...it's still early and I'm insane

I can see a little something on the top test, but you know how it goes with these...could just be grey shadows.

Severely tweaked

I hope you ladies don't mind me posting these huge pics on here...I want something more substantial before I post them on the poas section. And please, all opinions are welcome - I don't mind if you don't see anything. Just want human contact lol - can't show/discuss with DH because he thinks that I am a crazed TTC woman as it is! :D

Apples...love you girl!! I actually do see something on the top one..not in the tweaked but the non-tweaked. I have never seen anything that tweaked..WOW. Don't give up hope yet on that af type cramp thing dear you are still pretty early. What dpo did you get your first bfp with? I got mine at 9 (chemical) and 10 (mc) and 12 (dd).

Shanessa, oh gosh so sorry about all of the issues you are having to deal with. Glad you are off work though and can be at home to deal with contractors. Contractors are the WORST :(. yay for getting a bd in ;). Bring on BabySandy :)!!!

Brasil...hopefully the tickers on most of us help and HOPEFULLY by the time you figure us out (8-9days) you get a bfp and you are just checking in with us anyway...FX!!!

afm..nothing new here. Spotting stopped..so strange this "waiting for af" thing! Blood draw tomorrow. Unfortunately, I am feeling I will finally get af on Christmas :(. Drab!!!

Tiff - love the idea of a SandyBaby! That made me smile. Well, just like you my AF (if it comes) is due around Christmas Eve/Day. Not what I wanted Santa to leave me. :?

Apples - Excited about the temp rise. Has it ever done that before? I'm not sure I can see anything on the strips but then I have old eyes. Cramping is not unusual in pregnancy also, especially early on. I guess you should know by tomorrow in any event.

Brasil - it is definitely difficult to keep up with everyone, agreed. Take it easy. What do you have 7-8 days before your beta?

AFM - defintely into the tww. I don't mind the first week, but the second week is always the hardest for me. Be nice to have a nice little lifetime Christmas gift. I should know one way or the other by Christmas Eve. If I get my BFP, I am going to gift wrap the test and put it under my hubbies pillow for Christmas morning. :D
