TTC thoughts and sharing-Part II All Welcome!

Postby tammylynn1230 » Thu Jan 02, 2014 12:29 pm

Hi all! Since we were way over a 20 page quota, I decided to continue are thread for the new year!

Please join us for another year of new beginnings, new babies, and new TTC antics!!

Many Blessings to all!!

I will start off the thread with my update

CD6 and day 3 of my Clomid, not a whole lot of symptoms, woke up with a headache and achey ovaries, both sides. It felt like the start of AF so hopefully they are cooking up some eggs, good, strong, healthy eggs!! I usually O around CD18 with Clomid so it will be a while before I can enjoy my tww! I am just doing estrogen after Clomid, i am not going to do the Progesterone this time, it's not mandatory, it was to just to give me a piece of mind, If I get a BFP then I have them to start right away, I just don't want to drive my self crazy during my TWW again!

How is everyone else doing! Do our preggo ladies have any gender or name updates??

Becca, how is the first trimester treating you?

Anybody trying anything different this year??

Started the TTC journey in Oct 2012 with lots of tests. Found high prolactin (MRI) in March '13 - taking Cabergoline. no other treatment offered (except IUI or IVF). INSISTED that something be done after 6 months of no confirmed ovulation. gave me femara in November '13. Confirmed ovulation Nov & Dec. No BFP so finally got HSG.

HSG Results (12/17/13)= Left tube OK. Right tube unsure - Uterus seems OK but there could be 2 small polyps
HSG #2 repeat (1/9/14) = All tubes clear - good spillage! however possible polyp. Scheduled for hysteroscopy 2/6/14 to "see" if they are polyps and remove them.

Thanks Tammylyn for the new thread.

Lana, sorry about AF. It's crap I know, mine was 2 days before Christmas.

For some reason I seem to be heading for an early O, ewcm on CD11!! At least we BDed on CD10 and hopefully tonight, CD12.

What are people's opinions on whether every day or every other day is best. Some say every day gives more chances, others that it should be every other day or the sperm may not be the best quality.

My FS, at first, said every other day until +opk then 3 days in a row. Last month they said every other day from CD 10 - CD 20.
i think the every other day thing is to let the sperm build up. if you don't have sperm issues - when O day approachs - bd away!!!

I have hubby take CoQ10 every day. that's supposed to help build good sperm supply.

Hello ladies,

I have stalked your thread on and off. This New Year's Day I got my first ever BFP (au naturale) only to lose it two days later, turned out to be a chemical. I was only two days late for af when I tested. Although devastated, I gained some hope in knowing I actually can conceive despite a blocked tube, endo and adenomyosis. And of course the factor known as 'advanced maternal age'. Lol.

I had a failed round of ivf in Oct and should be having a FET this month.

Does anyone know, whatever happened to the lady who started this thread, Clementine? I hope things turned out well for her.

Good luck to all.

Sorry about your loss. I had a chemical in October 4weeks 4days and it is difficult no matter how early it is.

How long have you been trying for?

This is a really supportive group, so hope you stick around

I don't know what happened to Clementine, haven't heard from her for ages.

Hi Girls! How is everybody?

Welcome Annisa!! I too, am probably only working with one good tube! They keep telling me you only need one!

How is everbody else doing? Anybody in their TWW?

AFM: CD13 and YAY I fully got a +OPK on my cheapie stick!! My digi picked up a smiley two days ago but I think that was a fluke from my Estrodial pills, temp still low and we got a BD in last night!! Woo hoo :) Still taking my mucinex today and maybe tomorrow, depending on when temp rises. Now trying to see if we get another BD in tonight or Friday night? Hopefully I can convince husband to do both nights! Clomid wasn't pretty uneventful this month not too many side affects! We adopted a puppy this past weekend so he has been keeping us very busy and distracted, as a matter of fact, we have only gotten in 1 BD so far, oops

Many blessings all around!

Hi Ladies,

Cute puppy Tammylynn!

Moutainbaby, I have been TTC 18 months. Had a huge uterine polyp which occupied the entire uterine cavity like an iud. This was not discovered and removed til April 2013 so I guess we can really only say we have had any chance at all since then, so that would be 9 months. One ivf cycle (fail) during that time and 1 naturally conceived chemical pregnancy.

In regards to BD. I think as long as there are no male factor issues, BD every day around O is the way to go. I think it is important to start this before O as the egg does not really hang out for 24 hours like the text books say. It is better that the sperm is there waiting rather than the egg sitting there waiting. The cycle I got my BFP we BD cd 12,13, 14, 15, 16 and I O'd on either 14 or 15. Didn't do any testing because just relaxed more and/ or obsessed less that month. Just felt ovary pain on 14 and 15. No ewcm at all. Used preseed.

This Tuesday, 14th Jan I start blood tests to determine O. I will then have a frozen embryo transfer 5 dpo if one of our 2 embryos survives the thaw.

Hey everyone! Sorry I've been MIA. Again not getting any updates, but that's ok. I've been trying to catch up and it sounds like everyone is off to a great start this year!

AFM, well things are going great. I am 10 week as of yesterday. Had an ultrasound last Friday and the baby was measuring exactly to the day. We could even see it moving around. And nice strong heartbeat. Still feeling unsure about the whole thing. I've had dreams of miscarrying. Once I hit 13 weeks I will feel better, and of course once I can feel the baby moving I will feel a million times better. My husband is just over the moon! This is his first (and probably only) baby and he is just so grateful for all of it. I'm ready to tell the world, but we are waiting until I reach the 13 week mark.

:babydustb: :babydustg: to all of you!!!!!!

Becca, i am so glad things are moving along well!! Sounds like it will all be fine!! HEre's hoping the next 3 weeks fly by!

Annisa, good luck with your FET!! How exciting :)

Hi to EOE

AFM: 5DPO and temps were "meh" and then took a jump today and bbs are lil sore but I think it's because our puppy likes to launch his 40lb self at us like a missle! He thinks he is a lap dog LOL! Not much going on, I am not even putting symptoms into FF as I think this cycle is a bust! Good news is I have my appt with my OB on 01/27 and I am going to ask him about monitoring and trigger shots to coordinate with my surgeon in Kentucky. DH mentioned last night that he is ready to go to Kentucky for the IUI but I don't want the trip and the $300 for sperm wash to be a waste if we can't time it, I mean how and the heck do you do an IUI with out ultrasounds for follie checks and when do you know to do the trigger shot?? I think they assume you get a +OPK do the trigger and then travel to KY but what if I O right away before I can get to KY, grrrrr decisions decisions.. sometimes I don't get a +OPK to the very day of O and I don't want to trigger if my follies are ready yet, sighhhh

Hi everyone! I've been reading and checking-in to see what's new for folks. I'm hoping for more BFPs this year!

Becca - I know EXACTLY how you feel. I'm now at 33 weeks and I still look in the toilet after I pee (for blood) although now it's just out of habit and not fear. After having had 3 miscarriages in a row I was like you, nervous but optimistic about the viability of the pregnancy. Sorry for the TMI, but every time I went to the bathroom I was afraid to look because I didn't want to see blood and I was always scared about seeing spotting on my undies. Now, you can still spot and bleed and have a healthy pregnancy, but for me, that had always meant the beginning of the end in my miscarriages. Just try to relax and embrace that all it takes is one good egg and one good sperm. Plus, the doctor told me that once they detect a healthy heartbeat you're chance of having a success pregnancy is 95%!! Those are great odds and it's very much in your favor!

TammyLynn - I'm excited for you and these next few months, good things will happen!

AFM - Like I said, I'm 33 weeks now, just turned 41 on Jan. 10th and am starting to really feel tired and low energy. I've been tired all along but now it's more like I've been drugged or something! ;) At 36 weeks they will monitor me every week because of my old age, although I still feel very young and healthy :).

I send everyone lots of baby dust!!

Good to hear from you cubanmama, not long to go now.

I know for me that whole checking everytime I go to the toliet will not stop with a BFP.

This TWW has been hell. It seems so long, I even had to get out a calender to check it was not. I have had really good symptoms, nausea, dizziness and really sore BB's. Today however I started spotting, feeling rather despondent.

Hi to everyone! wishing everyone good luck and sticky baby beans!!!

I had repeat HSG which was awesome - showed complete flow thru on both sides! No blocks! the doc said he used a larger cath or plunges or something!!! And got a good seal and had enough pressure to push through. it did show what he thought may be a tiny polyp on the lower left side of the uterus so i am scheduled for hysterscopy in early Feb. I am hoping that I get my Bfp this cycle and i don't have to go for the surgery. Fx! I got what was soooo close to + ops on Friday morning that I hope i o'd Friday night/ sat morning. i ran out of opks on that test and i just took that as pretty darn close! we BD on Thursday night, Sat morning and this morning to cover the bases!

Well, again, good luck with all the different things going on with everyone - pregnancies, TWW, traveling, BD-ing!!!!
