new at this ttc and 40...

Postby moomoo30 » Thu Jul 03, 2014 9:35 am

Hi I was wondering if there are any vitamins I can take to try and up my chances of conceiving. I'm 40 years old still have regular 28day cycles. Just want to make sure my egg health is 100% and im doing everything possible. I had my iud taken out two months ago and this was our first month trying and I dont think I am after a couple of pregnancy tests anda very weird bleed on the day I was supposed to start/could have been implantation. But not feeling it so pretty sure this month is a no. So if anyone has tried anything im game. Also heard of fertility blend sp-1 if that helps with anything or should I not bother since I still have normal periods.

Hi MooMoo, I will just share what my RE has recommended that I take. I am 39, I turn 40 in December. I just had my second IUI and the list below is the recommended supplements that I was instructed to take
Prenatal vitamin with DHA, CoQ10 400 mg twice a day, Vitamin D3 2000 i.u daily. (I also take 81mg aspirin and Biotin supplements)

I was reading on line about red clover tea, false unicorn root which promotes ovulation, raspberry leaf for reproduction, stinging nettle for adrenal system which hooks up to reproduction and fertility. I didn't know if anyone has tried any of these. I was going to go back to vitamin store and try a couple but wanted to het maybe some input first.
