Menapausal??...Phantom Period??

Postby Janovich » Wed May 13, 2015 3:57 am

Hi Ladies... I haven't posted for a while, but I now find myself in a predicament whereby I'm wondering whether I'm going through a 'phantom period' and hitting the 'change of life' phase....or,..i''ve conceived!! LOL

Stress I'm aware can cock up ovulation and indeed I think this is what has happened to me over the last month or so. Briefly my car 'blew up' in early April and I've been consumed with sorting out another vehicle, dealing with the insurers, finding another car blah blah..,.so this would account for late ovulation I guess.

Last Period was on 8 April (day 1).
Day 19 (26 Apr) we DTD.
Cant be sure but Day 20 & possibly Day 21 I think I remember having EWCM.

Day 27 - 29 (4 to 6 May) is when I would normally have been due my period and on 4th May I had, for around 15 minutes a really intense pain down below, which just subsided not long afterwards. I do remember this vividly as I was driving at the time to see to my horse and ride him! On these dates too I do remember having the usually on/off aches and pains that usually go with AF coming, but not as intense as usual. My Boobs have also started to twinge a bit.

Day 34 (11 May) - This is the day I'd have thought I'd have started with me thinking I'd ovulated around a week or so later than usual, although I've not been temping or charting etc,....so can't be 100% sure. I had very dull achy pains all day and again I thought I'd be saying hello to AF......but nope,...nothing. Boobs are tender to the touch.

So here we are on Day 36 (13 May) and I'm still kinda getting a very slight dull ache low down and my boobs are still tender, but not AF showing.

I do think that I'm experiencing my first phase of the menopausal stage of life really as I'm 1 month shy of 47 years old...

Haven't taken a HPT yet as I want to hang on til the weekend and IF I have not seen AF by then, I will do one, as my OH will be around too as I don't want to do one without him being there!

Mmmmmmm.... a curious predicament to be in, but I guess i'll find out by the weekend what's going on.

I'm quite calm really as it happens which is surprising me somewhat! Ha Ha
