Left this board in my late 30's and now 45..OMG

Postby anastasia1009 » Thu Sep 03, 2015 5:42 pm

I just turned 45 not even a month being 45 yrs old - tonnes of stress - cat really sick and had to hand feed it. Moved 2500km, then moving stuff plus gluten free. Had sex once on CD 10 don't know when I ovulated because cat was admitted to the hospital and major surgery.
I was late but stress can do it - when my mom passed or when I got really sick - I went to CD 35 before then AF. I got to dpo22 and noticed I threw up this morning but I thought crap allergies cause its bad here in Ontario. But now so in shock.

But this came up in less than a minute and its still like that. Going to get another test soon

So there is hope naturally - only difference is gluten and lactose free.

Congratulations!!!! I hope everything goes really well and you have a healthy and happy pregnancy. I was 45 when I had my son and had a brilliant pregnancy and home birth, so look after yourself and enjoy it.

I hope your cat is ok and has a good recovery, I know how much they become part of the family.

I hope your ultrasound goes well. I found the tests in the first trimester really stressful, but once they were out of the way it was a great pregnancy and I was really fit and healthy. Try to enjoy it as much as you can, and don't read the horror stories. There are risks with every pregnancy, and being older means you are more likely to have some problems, but deal with them if they happen rather than worry about them because they might. Congratulations again.

those horror stories wow and if you read statistics I am doomed. But my obgyn said I am healthy, physically fit and something about started my AF late when I was 18 and being on the BCP till I was 35 may help. Plus late PG run in my family - both grandmothers babies after 45yrs old - it was common where I am from Nova Scotia to have kids up to menopause.
Thanks I will stay away from the internet :)
