HCG levels in your 40's

Postby donnamr32111 » Thu Aug 18, 2016 3:06 pm

Anyone else get positive HPT's and not be pregnant. I seem to get positives, mainly late day during my TWW every month with the very sensitive brands. I had my HCG tested end of June and it said >5. So I don't know if that meant 0 or under 5.

> is the greater than symbol so if you;re absolutely sure the arrow was facing to the right it means your levels were more than 5.

Old style frers pick up 6.2 in clinical research, other brands may well be close so if it was greater than 5 it would not be surprising you would get false positives.

OK then that's a little harder to explain the false positives in that case. Other than possible chemical pregnancies and HCG dropping by the time you're tested?

With the less than 5, its just a range so it could be zero, but could be anything between 1 and 5 also
