BFP @ 17dpo - now 20dpo and getting implantation bleeding?

Postby scharpster » Wed Sep 12, 2012 7:36 am

Anyone else get implantation bleeding late? I am concerned because this is right around the time I should get my period. Not normal blood though...it was dark, eggy and had bits of bright white in it? Hope this is...I have waited for this bfp for so long! Hope someone can relate

Aww thank you so much!! That is so sweet of you!! I remember you! You are one of the girls I periodically check on that I spoke with when I started this journey back in June. I'm actually wide awake at 3am right now lol! Have had difficulty sleeping cause I pee a lot but in no way am I complaining! I know lots of women would like to be in my shoes. How are you? What's going on on your end?

All symptoms are good symptoms!! I'm so glad you have got your BFP again (even if it does cause insomnia!!). I got my BFP in December after an MC in October, I'm nearly 10 weeks but won't believe it until the scan turns out ok (i'm sure you'll agree after a loss somehow you don't believe it's going to end in a baby!!). I have heard that having a pregnancy that ends in mc prepares the lining for the next pregnancy and 'redies the body' making a successful pregnancy more likely, I hope thats the case for both of us!! Have you had many other symptoms?xx

Hi Maz,
Sorry I had forgotten to respond to you earlier! Thanks so much - I am so glad you've gotten your bfp again too! Our rainbow babies :) I can't even begin to imagine being so far along last time. But God had another plan for you, and he's given you your rainbow baby! I am all for that theory of the lining preparing you the 2nd time around. I just got over some terrible food poisoning to which I consulted my RE (haven't even seen my OB yet) just to make sure it wasn't morning sickness. I was hoping and praying it wasn't. I have a WHOLE new appreciation for mommas that get sick during their pregnancies!! Really the only symptoms I've had are my bbs are fuller (don't hurt at all though!) and I feel a pressure every now and again in my stomach which must be my uterus stretching. I had an hsg done (an excruciating one at that) where the doctor found I had an abnormally small uterus a couple months back. I'm wondering if I'm feeling more stretching because of that. My mom didn't believe me that I could feel things so early, but there's no denying there's a little factory at work down there! How about you?? How are you feeling?? When's your next appt?

It makes sense thta if you have a smaller uterus everything will be stretching more!! That stretching feeling is normal, I was getting round ligament pain at 6 weeks I thought there was no way it could have been that early but it went and all seems fine so far!

Thanks for the congrats I really appreciate everything this time around, last time I was missing drinking etc, this time I don't in the slightest, much more important things!! I've had some nausea but very mild, mainly when I'm hungry, and a full feeling, otherwise pretty symptom free. Today is the equivalent day that I MCd last time so psychologically will feel much better when it today is over!! I have my scan booked on the 15th but I've made a provate earlier one for this Friday (we have very few scans in the UK) as I was feeling more anxious the closer to the MC date I got and now just want some reassurance.

I'm glad your symptoms have been good! I think I haven't really appreciated enough how good it is to be MS free! And sorry about your food poisoning, that sucks but glad things are better now!

Whens your next appointment? xx

It's definitely a strange feeling, like a dull pressure down there! It's fun though, makes me know baby is in there and actively settling into his/her new home! I'm actually glad to be feeling things. I would find it so odd if I didn't! Makes it that much more of a beautiful experience. I ordered a pregnancy journal and can't wait to start writing things down. Thinking of getting a chalkboard too to start documenting my baby bump :) That is great that you've feel generally good during your pregnancy! I vowed I would never take advantage of feeling healthy and having an appetite again after Sunday/Monday's events! Go figure, today is also my equivalent to when I m/c back in September. This pregnancy is SO different than that one was, however. I didn't end up getting a positive until 17dpo last time, and either one or two days later is when I m/c. I never got strong lines either - got a "pregnant" on my clear blue test but had extremely squinter lines on my other tests. It was over really before it even began. This time around, I got VERY strong lines at 10dpo, and I was a good week out from my period. I couldn't believe I got lines so soon. It makes me wonder how early I could have seen them. I surpassed this past Friday, which was when Af was due. I've had two successful beta draws, and going for a 3rd tomorrow. I just feel so confident this time. My first scan is ALSO on the 15th! We've got much in common, missy! Glad you are getting another one this Friday, I can imagine that will put your mind at ease. I assume you've already heard the heartbeat?

That's amazing that it feels so much better for you!! And great lines too, it's always so much more reassuring when you see them pop up! And at 10 dpo that's awesome!! Mine definitely feels a lot more settled in this time looking like good news all around!! Wow scans on the same day we do have a lot in common! How far along will you be then?

And congrats on getting past af due date, I always hold my breath a little at 8 weeks when af due thinking its bound to come...

I saw the hb at 5-6 weeks but didnt hear it, hoping to on Friday!

I think this is your first too?x

It's funny, I totally took a pregnancy test at 10dpo expecting NOTHING! I literally took the test for fun just to take it...I have 50 of them! I had never gotten a line that early before. I didn't even think I was pregnant. And I must have looked like a deer in headlights when I showed dh the test! I still am trying to wrap my mind around the fact that we actually did it this time. Our next step was acupuncture, then IUI in the spring! The doctor had us convinced it would be impossible to conceive naturally. Dh had really low counts and mobility and I had some issues with possible cysts and a blocked tube. I guess after you ask for a baby every Sunday at church, God gets the hint! We're so very thankful. I will be right at 7 weeks at my first scan, and we are hoping they will do an ultrasound. Oh I am hoping and praying for a great appt on Friday!! Hearing that little heartbeat will be music to your ears!

Wow that's amazing news!! You have one determined little bean in there!! He may have a low count but maybe the good ones are really really strong and healthy!!

At 7 weeks it should be up to a centimetre long and definitely able to see the heart beat! How lovely that you didn't expect to see a bfp what a lovely surprise!! I had an idea as I had cramping that felt very familiar to last time and my temps went really high but of course you only know when you see that second line!!

Please let me know how your scan goes, looking forwards to hearing all about it!!xx

Yes, and I have a Clear Blue Fertility monitor that i've used for several months now, and it never showed that I ovulated this month! So the monitor TOTALLY missed my surge. Something in my mind kept telling me we needed to keep bding every other day, even after I thought I *might* have ovulated. I am now such a believer in Fertilaid and every other day. We had barely been on fertilaid for a month! You are definitely right, you never have validation of symptoms until you have 2 lines! I swore up and down every month since September I was pregnant lol! Cant wait to hear about your scan Friday! Keep me posted also!

Too funny! Must have really been the trick for us! My af ended January 2nd and I began to get a high reading on the 7th and just kept getting high readings for a solid 7 days. I just stopped testing after a while cause I never ovulate that late. I was ready to throw the monitor out the window cause it isn't the first time it's missed my surge! Go figure, glad we kept at it! Eek!! Yay for our babies!

Time for a rest now after all the bd'ing!! Wow you must have ovulated pretty early, I think fertilaid can help this because of the vitex in it, either way whatever it was it did the trick, tho I have a feeling fate has leant a hand too!!x
