Faint BFP 13 dpo (TTC for almost 3 years)

Postby Tina03 » Sat Jun 06, 2015 2:15 pm

Here's my BFP chart, a pretty straight forward one. Had no symptoms, actually lacked PMS almost completely, not even sore bbs really. Also was a dry cycle, i had no notable CM until after ovulation, we used preseed the entire fertile window. Other than that took vitex, iodine, vitamins and extra folic acid. Also I have endometriosis stage II, especially on my ovaries and TTCed for almost 3 years. There's hope even with endo :-) :babydustg: to all you ladies!
Hope this one will stick, still very early. Got my super squinter at 12 dpo, period was due that day and a better more visible line at 13 dpo (1 day late).

Congratulations and nice chart! I hope you have a good 9 months. Can you think of anything specific that helped this cycle succeed? It's interesting that you were almost symptom free. I always wonder what will feel different first..

Thank you :-) ya i didn't have PMS. I blamed the vitex for it, i thought it just lowered my PMS, which it can do but in my case it wasn't the vitex, lol. I still don't have much symptoms, just tired, a bit heartburn and a growling stomach all the time, my breasts only got fuller but not really sore, only was a bit on the sides towards armpits (the nipples are just beginning to feel sensitive). I'm not sure what exactly helped, but i did take vitex for almost 2 months and we used preseed the first time the cycle i got my BFP. I have an overall pretty healthy lifestyle, cut out especially gluten since about 2-3 months, also use natural care product, filter my water, natural cleaners around the house etc. Of course i do occasionally cheat, i'm not super strict on my diet, but i'm about 80% keeping to it. I did a lot research on a diet for endo patients. I guess that seemed to help in combo with vitex, vitamins, preseed and lifestyle. What vitex did for me was increasing the days of my luteal phase, i was kinda short with just 10 days and i got to 12 days the cycle before my BFP.

oh i forgot. The only symptoms i had, if you want to count it, is a fever for one evening and a butterfly feeling in my belly before that fever. I remember telling my hubby about the butterfly feeling at 6 dpo, it was so mild i thought i imagined it. The next day in the evening (7dpo) i had a random fever without any other cold symptoms. I stayed home on Monday from work cause i thought i get sick and was exhausted. And then Tuesday you see the implantation dip at 9 dpo, by then i was completely fine as if nothing happened. I blamed the weather the day before for getting the fever, as it was kinda chilly outside with a thunderstorm, i got wet and we set in a restaurant with a super cold A.C.

Hi Tina thanks for the information. Diet is something I haven't thought so much about so thanks for the ideas. I spent some time looking for a video online to see what happens when sperm encounter preseed but I can't find one anywhere.. Did you use a lot of it? Thanks for telling me about the symptoms also. It's so hard to decide when to test. Thanks for your help!

You are very welcome! I hope the info helps you to get your BFP. I used preseed 3 days in a row, 1 day before ovulation, on the day of ovulation and one day after. You can put a max of 4 g into the tube, but that's a lot! Recommended is about half of it, so i always used between 2-3g. I think we also used the preseed 2 days before that as well. So ya basically the whole fertile window long, every time we BDed. Preseed is supposed to help the sperm survive, it simulates the right environment as it would be with a women's fertile EWCM.

Thanks for all the information. You have inspired my DH and I to try out the preseed in an experiment. We took a video of sperm encountering preseed under a microscope. The results are available on my blog for which there is a link in my signature in case you are interested.

While it appears from our analysis so far that preseed is harmful to sperm we have not compared preseed to cervical fluid. We can also see that sperm survive better in preseed than in a dry environment. We are thinking about trying the preseed according to the instructions as you have done.

Anyhow, just wanted to say congratulations again and thanks so much for inspiring us to learn about preseed.

I hope you have success with preseed as well and you're welcome! Interesting you do this analysis, ill look into it. I hope preseed is not very harmful though but ya i was dry i needed it and i guess enough sperm survived the journey with it better than without it even if it was not the perfect environment.
