I made AF come on my own!

Postby MASHINKA » Mon Feb 13, 2012 10:34 am

Hello Ldies!

This is for anyone who has super long cycles, I decided to give this a try and it worked!

I researched how Provera works. Its a Progesterone pill. They usually prescribe 10mg/day for 10 days. Then you stop, and af is supposed to show within 7 days.
Well, I dont have insurance and cant just run to the doctor and get a prescription. Neither did I want more chemicals in my system. I wanted something as natual as possible! So I figure: "I will get a natural progesterone cream, apply the same dosage daily for 10 days, and see what happens."

I went to Whole Foods, bought something called "PRO-GEST" in the ready packets. I applies one packet twice daily. In the morning and in the evening. By day 5 ,,, af came! I didnt even get to do the whole treatment. Btw I was on CD 48 at the start of the treatment, and i had an anovulatory cycle.

Anyway, maybe this will help any of you? Maybe you can try doing the same thing?

I just wanted to share in hopes that it can work for someone else too :D

hold up - AF came on day 5 of taking the treatment? or 5 days AFTER the 10 day course?

Only asking because I am currently on progesterone for irregular cycle and i thought it prevented bleeding?

Well it came of the 5th day of the progesterone course. The instructions say if af comes, stop the treatment. And thats what I did.

It prevents bleeding right after O. But if you neve did O, it helps the body start af.

I mean its just a thought you know? You are on the treatment, so af will come no matter what. But for those like me, who cant go to a physician, theres whole foods, the natural physician,,, lol!

Yes I do chart and do bbt, I will start around CD 10. Today is CD 6, and af is still here hanging around. But it should end shortly. Excited for the new cycle!

This cycle I am doing everything! :
Royal Jelly - 1 tsp mised with honey every morning before breakfast!
Vitex - Waiting for af to leave, then will start 1 tab every am and pm until O day.
EPO- 1 tab am and pm
Maca - 2 tab 3 times per day
Kelp - 1 tab daily
Folic Acid - 1 tab daily
Tribulus - 1 tab daily

I think thats it! My super concocsion (hope I spelled that right!)
Well see what happens!

Oh and DH is taking Maca, Tribulus, and Vit B complex as well 8)

hi I read this and thought that it so awesome that happened for u!! I always like hearing about natural ways to bring about things while ttc. I had a question though, is it safe to take tribulus and maca together?

Ladies I did some research because I was wondering why in the world I am still bleeding, and found out that you should NOT take MACA while on your period. The only thing you are allowed to take while menustrating is the EPO.

The previous instructions that I had said to take it CD1-"O" day. So just a heads up to everyone! :D

This is great to know. I've been looking into that progesterone cream and wondered if it worked. I use to take vitex and black cohosh, but I got a terrible stomachache. I think because I took them NON STOP for months! Anyway, I hope you get great results. And a BFP!

Glad the progesterone creme worked for you..I did this also last year...similar to how you did and it took a couple months though and AF finally showed after being gone about 6 months! I tried it again this year..and no luck..but I think :af: is finally showing..now..as its a lil more than spotting..But for me, this time it was due to precycling birth control pills..once I hit the placebo pills (3rd day of them) ...AF is showing...but I wouldnt recommmend b/c to bring on AF...I am doing this under Dr's order for my FET cycle...heres...to fertile mertiles on this thread!
