I suggest making sure they know that this is a common occurrence for you and that you are ttc. They may say that it is because you are stressed about ttc, but if your cycles have always been irreglar it's important to say that it's not only stress!

I'm thinking that they will probably want to start you on provera to induce your AF and then do some CD3 bloodwork to make sure levels are ok. If they don't suggest doing this I would insist on it.

It's really frustrating with some doctors, because they don't want to do anything until you've been trying for at least a year. But obviously if you are not ovulating you already know that something is messed up!

Good luck!

I know how you feel! DH and I have been ttc since June. While none of my cycles have been as bad as yours, they've been annoyingly long (35-60 days)! I'm currently on CD 43 with no O yet.

It's just frustrating when most ladies get to try 12-13 times a year, and we irregular ladies get so many less tries!

But I just started taking Vitex and have heard lots of good things about regulating cycles, so I really hope it works!

Let me know how it goes!

Emerald - Went to dr, definitive result PCOS - I didn't even have to go to into detail. He was apparntly very experienced with this syndrome so after labs come back Metformin it is. He gave me provera but I have to hold off as I may have O'd! chk out my chart

tee your so lucky you get provera. my dr wont even give me anything when i have long cycles i have to wait it out. and they wont diagnose pcos on symptoms just labs and cysts. the system is all wrong here. i have weight issues, hair in various places, acne, oily skin, irregular periods no ovulation, high estrogen levels, struggling to lose weight on an intensive exercise and dieting cycle which has gone on for 4 months and only 14lbs lost. it sucks but according to my dr i dont have pcos

no it sucks here everything is based on pathways and if you dont fit the criteria you dont get. i am struggling to get a diagnoses im having to push them because i had a gyn tell me something isnt right and then a normal gp told me to go lose 11kg as i was too overweight and that was the problem but i cant lose the weight. if you have weight issues here you get nothing. the government have made loads of cuts
