CBFM (clearblue fertility monitor) with long cycle

Postby tshanda » Fri Apr 20, 2012 12:13 pm

Hello ladies,

My cycle goes between 34-36 days. For 3 months I did not have my periods and I was not pregnant Sad . AF finally appeared in February and I used the monitor for the first time. Showed I got an egg on CD24. I ended up getting my periods after an anxious two weeks wait. So now I am on my second cycle on CD25 and still did not get the egg. I have been trying to conceive since September and its starting to feel like forever. I am a firm believer that God does things on His time but it gets hard. My husband shared with me that it stresses him out when he sees me go to the doctors to get all these tests as if I am lacking of faith. Plus my doctor wants him to get checked to make sure everything is fine with him as well. Last month when I got the egg, we only BD on the day of and he claimed that he was tired the two following days. I freaked out as those are the most important days. And I feel like the time we do it (always at bedtime, very late 12am ish or even later) may be a factor as I am afraid I a missing my ovulation. Please help me, I feel so discouraged. I dunno how to make him cooperate or understand.

Husbands. Uff. With my first pregnancy, my husband didn't get it. They aren't on the same roller coaster of hormones, and they don't have to pay attention to their bodies. They don't feel every cramp and tingle and get hope like we do. It took us 3 years to get pregnant. The second time around, he was much better, but the timing and pressure really got to him. So much so, he couldn't perform. (He would hate knowing I shared that, but I feel like in order to be give support, we gotta be brutally honest) He's never had a problem since. I'm hoping that doesn't happen this time, and so far so good. I think he'll come around. Men are just slow learners!

Sorry to hear that girl :( I hope that you get your egg soon and your DH clicks with the situation. It must be very frustrating but I'm sure he will come around. Sometimes it just takes a while :D

Thank you ladies. It's just so hard at times. Imagine I ovulate on day 24 and my cycles are 36-38 days, so I have to way another 14-16 days to see AF and then once she has passed after 4 days, wait another 20 days. It gets ridiculous. And to top it all, my monitor this morning went back to low. So I guess we missed my egg.... Bummer. Men are really something!

Hello Jamster34,

Thanks for your reply. I guess that I shouldn't complain if you have been going through this for 7 years. All the best. I hope that you will get pregnant on this cycle!

Be blessed

Thanks Levi. The only thing I did was not to think about it. Lucky me on cd21, I decided to take an opk cheapie at night and the lines were sooooo dark that I knew it was the time. By the next day, cbfm said I was at my peak. We bd on that morning. On dpo 8, I got a very faint, it took about 2 minutes to appear and I usually throw the cheapie to the garbage if I don't see anythng with 1 minute. And on dpo10, I decided to go buy CB Digital and FRER. I test on the FRER and I saw a faint for the first time in my life! God knows I have spent money on those tests to always see nothing. And then I went on with the CB Digital and saw: PREGNANT 1-2! Thank you for your wishes

Levi, Have you considered going on Metformin?
