Hey!! New to this forum but not new to ttc. I have a 9.5 yr old daughter conceived naturally. my dh and I have been ttc #2 for 8.5 yrs with no luck. We tried the metformin & clomid thing about 6 yrs ago but i got discouraged and we just went on with life. Then in march of 2012 we were approached by a lady about adopting her baby that would be born in Sept, we were so excited that our family was going to be complete. By may i was getting a little worried that she was going to back out and turned out i had good reason because on July 25 she sent me a text to tell me that she decided to go through an adoption agency bc they offered to pay her appt rent for the next 12 weeks. Needless to say we were crushed. Then in Jan of this year we decided that if we were going to continue to try for another baby that we needed to get serious bc i am gettting close to 30 and my dh is getting close to 40.. So off to the gyno i went... lots of blood work later and a sono the dr told me everything looks good so he put me on provera to get me to start having af since it had been a good 12 months without one..then in march he put me on metformin and told me that if i continued to loose weight he would start me on the clomid so 48 lbs later only 5 months after first appt he started me on the clomid:) I have now done 2 rounds of clomid and it is not a fun experience for me. I feel like i have raging bipolar hormones..lol.... as of today i am 2 days late for af but i refuse to take a test bc i go to dr tomorrow and he will do one anyways and I am also afraid it will be a bfn.

Hi ajk!!
You have had one heck of a ttc journey!! Welcome to the forum!! I hope you get great news tomorrow at your doc appointment!! Congrats on the weight loss!! Was is done with diet and exercise or just one or something else??

Your attempted adoption story is so heartbreaking!! :(
The fact that you have one child already is a great sign!!

I too have irregular cycles due to my pcos.. This is my third and cycle of clomid.. That's awful about the side effects it gave you!! The one I notice about myself are hot flashes..

Since you have irregular cycles, how do you know if you are late??

Good luck with ttc!! Baby dust!!

Hi Ladies

Mind if I join in?

In December last year I had a chemical pregnancy, and my Dr put me on Fertomid (clomid equivalent we have here in South Africa). This totally messed up my cycle with was perfectly 30 days long. Now I'm having 46 days cycles and its frustrating! Even now I think another long cycle is approaching coz I'm CD24 and still no sign of O.

Part of me just feels like giving up! My hubby said we should go see the Dr on Saturday to try get to the bottom of the problem! I just feel like crying when I think of how messed up my body is!!!!!

Hi ladies!
Welcome thully!! Good luck at your doc appointment!! How aweful it must be to go from having regular cycles then taking meds to help in ttc and them making your cycles irregularly long:( hugs!! Mine were only regular while on bc.. Ttc can be so hard and can make you want to give up.. I definitely understand your frustrations!!! I'm on cd 26 and I don't think I've od yet :/ I don't think I'm going to this cycle.. Super annoying!! :(

Ajk- how are you doing?? Where are you in your cycle??

Hi Ladies

When I took my temp this morning and confirmed...still haven't O'd :(
I think I just need to STOP temping coz it always depresses me to see the temps. The same crushed feelings I got this morning is the same as when you get AF on the cycle that you were sure you were preggers on...or seeing that stalk white BFN...why should I keep torturing myself like this? This has to stop.

Can't wait for Saturday to get the ball rolling in terms of going to see my Dr. He helped 1 Lady I know to fall pregnant and hopefully he'll be able to help me too.

Hope all is well with you! :)

Hi thully,
I completely understand and agree!! Temping while being irregular is super frustrating!! My temp went up to 97.9 degrees today only .2 degrees more than the past couple days but I don't think it means anything.. Are you going to stop temping??

Hi Wannabe, my appointment with the Dr went well. My problem is fibroids in my womb. They are the cause of my early miscarriages and general fertility issues.

Part of me is so greatful for finding that there is something wrong...and even greater part of me is greatful that its still small and doesn't need surgery...only medication which I will start tomorrow...all HERBAL!
