Vitamins for egg quality, sound good?

Postby MamaWiltz » Sun Feb 19, 2012 6:28 pm

So before I got pg w/Levi I was told I had decrease ovarian reserve and endo(got a lap for that) so I have eggs but the quality of them is no good but that was like almost 5 yrs ago and I have only gotten older but I know things can change after you have kids. This is my 7th cycle since our m/c (lucky #7 maybe?) Anyways I am so over taking all of these damn pills and stressing I know its not good, I would rather take something to get straight to the point but I have no insurance so not an option to go to the dr. We got pg once w/no help 7 cycles ago...So this cycle I am taking FertilAid, FertilCM, prenatals, Vit D3 and COQ10. I am kind of changing it up this cycle but only cause I am soo tired of popping pills and yada yada ya. Can you ladies help me please?

Also I was taking royal jelly like 2000mg till O idk if I should continue this? I also was taking L-Argine (sp?) but I am taking fertilcm this cycle instead.

Also I have heard of ppl taking baby asprin and prog cream? Should I do these too??

I took Royal jelly and I also took 81 mg aspirin... I continued the aspirin until I was around 7 weeks pregnant with my DD. my Dr told me I didnt need them anymore. I think the Royal jelly helped my older eggies.. I am just starting the Royal jelly again. kind of in the NT/NP mode right now.. but I feel time is against me as I am 38. Its always seemed to have taken me 2 years between my kids births to get pregnant , but maybe we werent trying overly hard either.. our timing isnt always the greatest. Good Luck. I am gonna start the aspirin again. I cant help much on the Progesterone cuz I never haven taken that.. Good Luck! keep me posted how u turnout.. :D

I have heard mixed things about aspirin. Some say 81 mg is ok as a protective measure but others say no unless a known or probable clotting disorder. I think there is no good answer, but higher doses such as regular
Aspirin can cause miscarriage.
There is evidence that high dose folic acid helps some people and may in future be recommended while ttc. You could ask your doctor about that.
What you are taking overall sounds good.
Also try to eat as many whole and natural foods as possible.
Also red raspberry leaf tea helps some women with endo. I take it till o. Endo can always return so try to avoid estrogen Mimickers - do not heat plastic, drink from plastic bottles, and try to use natural cleaning products.
Cutting out or lowering dairy and gluten is supposed to help endo. I think the dairy only because of hormones so I use organic. Gluten as there is a link between inflammation and celiac disease.

I am new to this forum but I am taking CoEnzymeQ10 250mg x 3 daily to help my eggs. I was told they are suppose to "energize them" as it takes a lot of energy to sustain a fertilized egg.

I think RRL tea only till O. I am not sure about the royal jelly.

*question on royal jelly, is it only in capsule form or can you get it natural?* There is none here but will get it in the US this summer.
Thanks

I got royal jelly from my local natural health store in glass tubes in natural form. I had to stop taking because I did not read enough about it prior to buying. You see I am allergic to bee stings and taking royal jelly always constricted my throat (not badly just felt like I had a sore throat) and I never knew why and I researched more, DOH
