woops sorry! I had a long day watching my little siblings. I meant to say that my left ovary wasn't in bad condition or at least they didn't seem too concerned with it. lol sorry!

Hey maburaker! Are you back from Korea? I hope you had a nice time there. I completely agree with you on the change in colour of the monthly visitor. I had forgotten about that but yes, it changed for me as well. It's not supposed to be dark but light and thin in colour and consistency. As for the cysts, I would be surprised if you didn't see an improvement there as well. :-)
It's ok to have the occasional steak or yummy treat as well so don't punish yourself! I was a good girl during the weeks but would allow myself a little treat on the weekends. Otherwise I think I would have gone crazy!
I'm feeling pretty good, thanks. A bit tired at times and still irritable and sensitive to certain smells but overall it's been a pretty great pregnancy so far. We finished our hypnobirthing classes last night so it's starting to get real. :-) I can't speak highly enough of hypnobirthing by the way...it's just such a sensible approach to what our bodies were meant to do! Today we are going to work on the nursery a bit more with some paint and cute animal decals for the walls. (I'm on holiday this week) :-)
I'm so impressed with both of you ladies. It's quite a journey and you are both so obviously committed and eager to help your bodies get prepped. Very confident that you will both succeed!

Hi Melissa and Barbara. Thanks for both being so positive and encouraging. Barbara, I'm glad to hear that your pregnancy is going well and those results are amazing! Well done you for preparing your body so well. I've been eating a lot of blue berries and blackberries and I'm investigating spinach recipes. I haven't fallen asleep on the acupuncture table yet only in my yoga class.
Ladies, it's so encouraging hearing you both talk about the changes you noticed from TCM. My Practitioner hasn't been very strict with foods. She told me to avoid cold foods and to eat a healthy diet with lots of fresh fruit and vegetables and lamb. And she told me to eat oatmeal for breakfast instead of cereal. What have you been told Melissa? I am seeing my practitioner once a week and drinking tea morning and night. Last week she talked briefly about a cold uterus and lit a 'medicine stick' and placed it on points on my belly. It was unusual but I'll do pretty much anything. Melissa, I bet Barbara is right and those cysts will improve quickly. Barbara, I love the sound of hypnobirthing, I hope it goes well :)

Hello ladies! Sorry its been a while. I'm still in Korea but I have about 5 days left =]. Yes, I heard that it should help with the cysts and I'm verrry excited about that part! As for the foods I have to avoid, I have so many =[. I have to avoid radish, all kind of meats except for fish, oily foods, sweets, anything with flour in it, spicy foods, coffee, and...a few more things that I can't remember. Unfortunately, I accidentally ate some radish tonight and apparently that doesn't mix well with the TCM and will make me grow grey hairs! T^T I hope it isn't true and thats just what my practitioner told my mom to make sure I avoid it...
But thank you Barbara! I've been wanting a baby for so long and I would do anything to make that happen. I know so many people that don't prep for it at all and just sit around. Anyways, getting the nursery ready must be a lot of fun! I'm so excited for you ^^
Acupuncture takes a while to get used to but I've been falling asleep on the table haha. Are you getting any other type of acupuncture done? I'm getting electrical stimulation done and I absolutely love it! I'm also getting blood cupping done too and thats pretty nice.
I hope both of you gals are doing well!!

Hi Melissa. I bet you're looking forward to getting back home. It sounds like your diet is pretty strict. I wouldn't worry about the accidental radish, I'm sure it won't be a problem. I'm trying blood cupping too and another thing that I can't remember what it's called. There is this fat incense stick thing that my practitioner lights, blows out, then puts on my tummy. My husband said that it sounds like torture but she doesn't actually burn me. Is electrical stimulation the little pads that are put on points of your body or is it attached to the needles? I've had both of those too. Are you planning on continuing TCM when you return home? Enjoy your last week in Korea.

Hi ladies,
I'm glad to hear your treatment is going well. :D I'm doing well, thanks. Today I entered the third trimester. Had a repeat ultrasound and did the glucose test today. The ultrasound went very well, our son looks "perfect"! :-) He was kicking up a storm, sucking his thumb, and at one point had his foot over his head. :D Apart from some nasty lower back pain and a possible UTI things are going well. My shower is tomorrow as well. Just a small gathering of a few friends.
Just think, you'll both be going through all of this before you know it! :D

Hello!
Its been a while, sorry it took so long to reply! I had to get back into the groove of things back at home. But yes, the diet is strict and I'm having a hard time keeping up with it now that I'm back in the US. I really liked blood cupping and the electric stimulation. The electric stimulation involves wet pads that send out little electric pulses on certain spots. I had it placed on my lower and upper back. It felt like getting a nice massage =D. I had the fat incense thing as well when I had my period last month. My cramps were so bad that I ended up at the ER the night before I went to the practitioner. I wish I could continue the daily appointments with him...there is such a HUGE difference with my body now. My hands and feet are constantly warm now (they were as cold as ice!) and when my AF arrived I only had minor back aches. It was easy and as I said before, the color and lack of clots is amazing! I'm very happy with the results. We've also been using Pre-seed and that has made BD'ing wayyy more enjoyable haha. I recommend it! I also started taking royal jelly and folic acid...I hope that this will help us this month ^^
Happy 3rd Trimester!! I'm so happy that things are looking great for you and your little boy is doing great. I hope that its not a UTI, those are not fun at all =[. How was your baby shower??!!

Hi Melissa
Lovely to hear you are back safe and sound and keeping up the good work on the TCM front. It's hard, but I know you can do it!! Plus you are obviously enjoying some of the positive changes as a result of your hard work. :-)
It's been a tough couple of weeks. My dad passed away 2 weeks ago so it's been a challenge to get through the days and nights. Apart from that little Tom is growing beautifully. He measured at the 49th percentile a couple of weeks ago and his heart rate is fine at 140 BPM. No sign of getational diabetes for me either, and my blood pressure is perfect so all is well. I have been practicing my hypnobirthing scripts each night before bed. It's really enjoyable though so it's not hard work at all. In fact, it helps with my sleep. It's starting to dawn on me that I will have a son in 10 weeks or less. Eep! :-)

Hi Melissa and Barbara,

Barbara, I'm really sorry to hear about your father. That must have been terribly hard. Your pregnancy sounds like it's going really well and you must be excited about meeting your son soon. I hope you had fun at your baby shower. Tom is a great name by the way.

Melissa, it sounds like TCM is working well for you. It must be such a relief to have less pain and better periods. I bet that all the hard work will pay off shortly.

It looks like I have endometriosis so I'm continuing with TCM to help the symptoms but I'm also waiting to see a specialist and hopefully have surgery next year. I'm also working on giving up gluten and dairy to try to help.

Hope everyone has a great weekend :)

Hi becbaf

Thanks for your kind words. It's been hard but I'm pulling through somehow.

For what it's worth TCM should be able to cure or greatly improve your endometriosis so you may not actually need surgery if you give the treatment enough time to work. Wouldn't that be wonderful if you could avoid surgery! :-) I had endometriosis a couple of years ago which is what got me using TCM in the first place. I had excruciating periods and terrible cramps before my period, very heavy and clotty periods, etc. Within a couple of months of TCM I was able to go off the pain meds and blood flow reduction medication I had been prescribed. They wanted to scrape my lining out as well to get rid of the "bad" tissue but I wanted to try and find another way before getting scraped. I was told that the surgical process would have to be repeated every few years when the bad tissue grew back so it's not really a long term solution. Just some food for thought becbaf :-)

Have a lovely weekend :-)

I'm so sorry about your father Barbara =[ I'm glad that you're doing well though and same with Baby Tom. Its getting closer and closer to your due date! I'm excited for you!!
Yes, the hard work put into TCM was very well worth it. I've been slacking off though =\ And I can tell the difference but I want to stay off the tea. I'm a little worried about taking it if I get pregnant...I just feel like this is the month!! The last period was easy breezy and I've been using the OPK to track ovulation. Wish me luck!
I really hope that TCM works for you as well Becky. Avoiding surgery would be best but I know that if it needs to be done than go for it. My friend had that surgery and used other procedures to get pregnant. I wish the best to you!!

Wow!!! Congratulations maburaker!!! Please stay on the tea though, I can't stress that enough. At your next appointment they will change the recipe a little bit but you should keep on it because it will help the baby as it grows for the first trimester. (unless you have specifically been instructed to stop drinking it by your TCM doctor of course).

Let us know when you get your results confirmed :-)
