Hi ladies how is it all going, i am starting back at acupuncture this weekend when af disappears. I am also starting femara/letrozole on cd3 - this thursday, has anyone taking herbs and done acupuncture along with such meds? Will it help if i tell the acupuncturist? I am afraid he will not even know what letrozole is and explaining it will be fun

Becbaf so glad all is going well and the weeks are flying for you, how you feel? Baderu how are you and your little boy?

Hi Sept,

I have no experience taking medication with acupuncture and TCM but I would definitely suggest that you tell your acupuncturist. Good luck, I hope this does the job!

I have been feeling good and have more energy now then I did during the first trimester. We had a scan last week and we found out that we're having a girl!! I'm very excited.

Good luck to everyone and congratulations Maimee :)

I know the girls on this post were pregnant and hopefully are having wonderful pregnancies but I just thought I'd write to say that I've started TCM treatment again in the hopes of having a second baby :-) If all goes to plan I will be pregnant at the end of March. I'm 41 now so the clock is really ticking. Hope you ladies from this thread post an update soon, I can't see your updates in your due date clubs. :-(

Hi Ladies,

It was great to hear from you baruderu. For some reason I haven't been receiving email alerts for this topic, perhaps they're going to my junk mail? Anyway, great news that you're back into TTC and hopefully TCM will help you along again. Your little man looks adorable and I bet he's a lot of fun. I'm nearly at 33 weeks and everything is going really well. I'm in that great nesting phase and really looking forward to meeting our little girl.

I hope everyone else is doing well too and would love to hear updates :D

Hi all,
Nice to hear from you ladies. I'm still trucking away with the acupuncture. Tried some tcm herbs, but the cost was too much to keep up with.
Trying a new more intense treatment tomorrow. Hoping for a good strong o because of it.
Glad to hear all is going well becbaf! Good luck catching that egg quickly, baruderu!

Hi becbaf and velvetShimmer!! SO GREAT to get updates from you both! :-) Velvet I know what you mean about the cost of the herbs. I've started with a different TCM practitioner and she uses the dried powdered herbs. Less expensive for sure but also less potent. We are in debt right now because I am on mat leave still :-( I hope and pray that you do indeed have a strong ovulation and catch that egg at just the right time. I think you will! :-)

Becbaf!! Wow!! 33 weeks already!!! I am so pleased for you. Please promise me that you will post a photo here of your beautiful baby. :-)

Thank you both for writing updates. I will update here as well, as regularly as I have anything to share although it won't be until the end of March/early April with any luck.

B

Hey Sept! Great to hear from you too :-) Glad to hear you're going back to acupuncture. If you're able to do it consistently for awhile that would be amazing, I think. I've been told that it's the cumulative effect of going regularly that's the trick. So expensive I know (if you're not covered for it) :-( I'm in week 4 now and it feels like it's taking forever! Anyways, keep us posted :-)

Baderu so happy you are ttc no.2! I still haven't booked my acu appt I am having an extra long cycle and just in case I am pregnant (my bd timing was awful so I don't believe I am) I don't want needles in me until after I get af.

Velvet I know the herbs are so expensive I bought them for a while and havent used them. I don't think I will keep them up as too pricey. I am 7dpo today but I have cheapie hpts so I will test again later, no point really as I didn't have a dip or anything yet. Although I have tested the last 2 days far too early of course.

Did any of you ladies ever have issues with elevated prolactin? I am on bromocriptine for it as it was consistently off the scale the last few months. Velvet I see you had slightly high tsh I am going to het mine tested again as I have some symptoms of borderline thyroid issues. I don't know much about it but maybe hypothyroid as I have cold hands and feet, low body temps, hair loss. I don't know I just feel that I need to investigate all avenues. I will book my acu appt when af arrives so I can have a session on cd6.

Enjoy the weekend ladies.

Hi ladies,

I know this thread is old, but I just read through each and every thread dating back to 2013! I just started my TCM routine (is that even the right word?) for 10 days. I go back to see the herbalist doctor next week for next steps.

A little history - i've had 2 MC's (one Aug 2014 and my most recent one last week). I have PCOS and I'm going to get tested for blood issues in a few weeks. I'm also on Metformin to help with my PCOS and it actually has helped a lot. It's heart breaking each time there's a lost, but all of your posts have encouraged me tremendously on the positive effects of TCM.

I am trying a dual approach...taking into consideration both western and eastern medicine. The herbalist doctor did mention that we shouldn't try for 6 months...that's a bit disheartening as we'd love to try a lot sooner (maybe 3 months). Did any of you get a BFP before your suggested time frame? I'm torn on waiting. On the one hand, I feel like waiting would better prepare my body. On the other hand, we can wait and what if nothing happens?

Any words of advice is greatly appreciated! I love hearing all the success stories though :)
