Kris - Ok, thanks for explaining. We got upset over your situation because they are not suppose to leave a bunch of eggs in your ovaries after ER, I was always told. So we were concerned. I'm not sure about BDing. I can't give advice on that part.

As for your E2 being 600 or so. That number would of at least given you 4-6 mature eggs with my calculations of one mature egg being 100 to 150. It really puzzles me that he had complications getting anymore. But AKA is right. You are not the first to ever get one egg to work with and have a successful outcome. I will keep prayers up for your eggie. Come on eggie!! :D

Thank you Lorrie..
I spoke with DH tonight since he also talked to Brenner (the re who did the retrieval). Yes they left the rest of the eggs inside since they were not in a position that he could pull them out. I am sure since i had the Hcg shot that i am going to ovulate today. That is why they absolutely wanted no bedding. There were others that he saw and said he could not get to. I am so curious why he couldnt get to the. I am going to ask on Tues when i have ET. I think My re Kenigsberg will be back from vacation then.

Kris - That's really too bad about the remaining eggs. Are you going to BD? Will you get a fertilization report tomorrow?

Dh and I talked about it. I still have ovary pain which tells me not all are released, even though I took hcg two days ago. We have decided to wait till tomorrow night and what ever has survived to there is fair game. We are slightly worried about beddin and becoming octamom.

I still find it strange that they left all those follies inside. I was trying to look for where they put the needles in and I can't find anything. Makes me wonder what they did. Something still doesn't sound right to me. If you ate there ang get one off the right follie how can you miss the rest on the right side. Lots of questions to be answered.

Good luck tomorrow morning aka

You won't feel where the needles went it. They usually insert the needles on weither side of the cervix...
As for the only one egg. that's completely crazy... Especially sense you had more then one follicle on one side alone.... They soooo should've upped your stims way before this. Hopefully the eggs didn't reobsorb because they stimed too long.... As for BDing... i would do it tonight so the sperm is there before ovulation. Sperm will survive up to 72 hours and an egg only 8-24 hours.... so you're better off BDing for the next 3 days if you want to double your chances, just in case this egg isn't mature...
I will be praying your egg matures and grows like crazy... I have heard of stories of only one embryo being placed in and there's been sucess... But BD.... F*** what the idiot says. He could only get one egg out of two ovaries with a level of over 600... He Reeeeeeeeks incompetence... I would disuss is poor handeling of the ER and demand a cycle on the house if this one doesn't make it. (Which I hope it does). But he obviously wasn't the Dr for the job...

As for me... Just got back from fishing with the boys... Cooked up the fish with some rice and broccoli, and we're enjoying the work we put in all afternoon trying to catch out fish....

Trying to keep buisy... I can't believe that there's only 4 days left.... Geeze am i nervious... What if my 4AA and my 5AA don't thaw well... I know I still have the two 3ABs which they could probably have thawed by that afternoon and do teh ET then... I hope all goes well... The embryologist is a genious there so I feel very confident in him. It's just my will nillies that get the best of me once i have time to think about the "What ifs"....

Jen- I want to say again that I'm so sorry that it didn't work the first time. It's terrible that you're having to go through this and my thoughts are with you. :hugs:

Kris- I am totally in shock from reading what happened and don't know what to say. Come on little egg!!! Fertilize and grow strong little one!!!!

Irish- Almost time!! :jump: :jump: :jump:

aka- So excited for you!! :yay:

Quick update on me: We made it to San Antonio and are set up in a really nice RV park about thirty minutes from the RE office. This is much better than driving 3 hours one way!! I went in today 3/13 and had b/w and u/s and will repeat tomorrow 3/14 morning. They said ER is going to be Tuesday or Wednesday.

ETA - Did anyone else not realize how long we'll be on progesterone if this works? I mean, I knew we had to take it, I was hoping for pills or suppositories,,,Nope. Three months of those shots and the nurse said to only do them in the hip--that's the best place for absorption. I'll be sore, but it will be so worth it!!!

Irish - I know it's hard not to think of those 'what ifs' but keep praying for those AA embies. I have a good feeling about them!

Anna - That's a great idea to not be so far from the RE during these times. DH and I do the same the night of ER, we stay at a hotel. Less stress and the night before ET sometimes as well. The RE's office is over 2hrs away one way, so it's a hike! Sorry you're on the prog oil. I never had to take that, always the suppository and this time I have both pill and supp. I will start with the supp and then once all that 'irritation' starts, I'm moving on to orally (Promentrium). YAY for ER Tuesday or Wednesday!!! :D

Kris - That is WONDERFUL news! The power of prayer! That will be a 5 day transfer then??

I'm feeling alot better today and yesterday as a matter of fact. Cramping wise and such. I wonder if the cyst is going away. God I hope so. I'll know Wednesday. :praying:

Kris-I can't believe it. I am so shocked about the RE only getting one eggie. I am SO relieved to know that the your little embie is doing well today. KUP. You are in my prayers.

Irish-I am so excited to her how the whole FET works. Don't be nervous it's gonna be great!

Anna-I love camping! That would deff. keep my mind off of all this IVF stuff.

Lorrie-I hope that your cyst is all gone when you go in next time.

My update-The nurse called and I start stims tonight YAY! The cyst is not effecting my blood work so we are all systems go. She said the DR. saw 15 little follies waiting for the stims so I am feeling much better about this cycle. I go in on Wed. for my first BW/US on the stims.

Kris: OMG!!!!! I was estatic when I heard your one lone egg has fertilized and is saying "I'm gunna give my mommy the best embryo even if there's only one of me". At least it gets their undivided attention... So, you're doing a 3 day transfer? Definately place your vote... Out next poll is going to be sucessful BFPs.... I'm gunna first do one on the 3dt... Then one on a 5dt.... And finally one on the FET.... I plan on posting the stats that we collect from our monthly group to place on the IVF page so other can continue to do it....

Anna: I feel your pain girl! My RE is 1 1/2 hours away... But I used to drive it everyday when my son was in NICU (When it was 2 hours away)... So it's not as stressful for me as it would be for you... I find the long drive with rolling desert hills very soothing and gives me a chance to exhail before I embark on my responsabilities after my ET... They say you should take it easy, but I'm not sure how easy I can take it with my 16 month old and the daycare kid I will have for the two days after the trasfer.... Shoot last time I got PG with the Blighted Ovum... It was the month my son had to have surgery, we did a major move with just me and my husband moving our whole house together, and we only had sex once that month.... We were sooo surprised we had a BFP and after I found out it was a blighted ovum, I felt guilty because at first I was so surprised about getting PG that I wasn't greatful for the blessing.. I felt like maybe I wished it on myself... That's why I feel I have to have this FET and it has to work... So I can be happy, and excited, and not take it for granted. Still can't shake the feeling of guilt.

Lorrie: :praying: So you find out Weds? On St Patty's day.... OMG, I so have to hurry home and wait for the update...LOL I'm so anxious to know... Are you gunna test before that? Please, if not for yourself... Do it for usLOL....

Medical: Oh wow.... Last day.... What your next step in your protocol....?

Nicrye: Yeah that the cyst isn't effecting your blood work... Send me your updated protocol as soon as you find it out....

Irish-I start Stims tonight. My protocol is 225 gonal f-pen and 75 menopure. This will be all for a few days. Towards the end (when the follies get to around 15mm) they will add in the ganeralex. Tentitive trigger on the 23rd with ER on the 25th (still the same) and ET three to five days after that. I will know more once they do the ER and fertilization. Last time only 2 of the 7 eggs fertilized. My Dr. thinks that the lupron had a negative effect on my eggs and embies. She said that it is a small percent of women that this happens to...lucky me! This new protocol should help with that. Fingers crossed for a successful cycle for me and all the lovely ladies on here!

Definately keeping my fingers crossed. I think you're the last one in our group to do an ET this month.... Wow, it's gotta be nerve wracking to see everyone going through it... Find out their outcomes and then think constantly of what will happen through your cycle. I was the last one in my IVF support group when I went through my first round of IVF.... The one I got my DS from... I watched a bunch of people get canceled, and then I watched a ton of people loose most of their embryos and I watched negatives. I also saw sucesses. Out of 7 of us... I think 3 of us went on with a BFP... One of us was a single pregnancy, anouther was a twin, and the last one was a tripplet pregnancy... Two 5dt, and one 3dt... So..... You get the blessing of seeing everyone else going through it and gettng their stats, but you have to wait to find out what's gunna happen to you.... I feel for you, but I'm also sooo excited you're starting your process... Grow eggies grow!

Oh no, it's not for a BFP...I haven't even started my cycle yet, still waiting on the cyst to go away. Wednesday is my next checkup to find out if it's gone yet so I can start stims.
