Anyone had success with a 4-cell, 3 day embryo transfer?

Postby Sam24 » Mon Mar 21, 2011 7:47 am

Hi everyone, this is my first time posting, I have nearly completed my first IVF cycle. After ER, we have 8 embryos on Day 3 (today), all are 4-cell with no fragmentation. My RE has advised us to transfer 3 embryos this afternoon. She is hoping a few of them might divide to 6 cells before the transfer today but I am not so sure. I am trying to stay positive and just wondered if anyone has had success transferring a 4-cell day 3 embryo. I was hoping the embryos would be 6-8 cells by today.

Thanks!

Better news - Two of the embryos divided to 6 cells before the ET so we transferred 2 6-cell embryos. Both were excellent quality, grade 1. This gives us more hope!

I had a 4 cell, 3 day transfer in January. I am now 13 weeks pregnant. I was worried because I only had one embryo to transfer, but it was a perfect looking 4 cell embryo. Everything has been great. Have had many tests and the baby is growing perfectly.

Good Luck!

That's great news Californium, thank you for replying. Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy. My Beta was negative but I will keep trying. Thanks for the good luck message Bumpkins.
