Postby lovlya » Tue Apr 12, 2011 11:10 am

hello all! Was just wondering what the success rates were for an FET? I know that it depends on age...quality etc....but was wondering what the rates were vs a fresh cycle. THANKS!

My clinic gives about a 37% success rate for FET and the FET is SOOO much easier on your body. My clinic will only freeze blasts, which is supposed to result in higher success rates for frozen cycles. My first FET of two blasts resulted in my son. My second FET was my last remaining blast and unfortunately ended in a BFN. So I am on to a fresh cycle to try for baby #2. Good luck!!
Me- 27, DH-28
Clomid/HCG/IUI 4 cycles- All BFN
Jan 08- Lap- Level II endo removed
IVF/ICSI #1-June 08- OHSS (31 mature eggs)

My clinic's paperwork states "The chance of becoming pregnant from a thawed embryo/blastocyst replacement is in the order of 10-45% depending on the circumstances....for that reason we usually recommend the transfer of more embryos/blastocysts than you may have had in your first transfer at the time of your IVF cycle."

I did a FET ..my clinic has high rates but my embryos were made at a different clinic and the new RE could not give me any rates as he was not sure what the embies would look like and every clinic has different grading systems. I did get pregnant with twins but lost one at 7 weeks...I am currently 14 weeks pregnant with my fighter...
