Age: 32
How long TTC: 1.5 years of really trying
Diagnosis or any known issues: Slightly high FSH (8.9) and low AMH (0.9), hypothyroid
Treatments you tried before IVF: Clomid, 3 IUIs (while we were waiting on my thyroid levels to balance out, I took DHEA and CoQ10)
How many IVF did you do before success: 0 - first time success
Are you using donor eggs or sperm: no
Protocol (meds taken): Lupron, Follistim (150 am; 275 pm)
How many follicles at ER: Not sure. There were 7 at my last scan
How many eggs retrieved: 9
How many eggs fertilized: 4
How many days between ER and ET: 3
How many and quality/rating of embryos/blasts transferred: 2 8-cell, grade A
Symptoms or issues during 2WW: none that I really remember aside from some slight feelings down there that are hard to describe - just feels like something is happening in there. No implantation bleeding. No morning sickness. I did have sore BBs, but that would have likely been the case regardless due to the PIO shots. I did have strong menstrual-like cramps at 10dp3dt - the day before my first beta - and was convinced it hadn't worked.
What day you got your BFP: 11dp3dt.
HPT before blood test: I took a test at 6dp3dt and it was negative. I was too scared to test again until after my beta!
Number of first beta: 259 at 11dp; 557 at 13dp; and 1590 at 15dp.
Number of babies: 2!
Anything else you would have wanted to know before you started this process?: Nothing new here, but try to remember that every pregnancy is different. Just because you aren't experiencing the same symptoms as other ladies on your threads or aren't getting an early BFP on your HPT doesn't mean a thing. I was CONVINCED it hadn't worked for me. The morning before my beta, I cried to my husband and all throughout church, which ironically the message that day was about not worrying! And still to this day - 7 weeks along - it feels surreal because I haven't had many of the "normal" pregnancy symptoms. I'm still nervous as hell about everything - I don't think that goes away, at least not for people like me :)

Age: 32

How long TTC: 4 years

Diagnosis or any known issues: Low egg count

Treatments you tried before IVF: IUI four times: BFN IVF #1: BFN FET#1: BFP and had our daughter. This is IVF#2 for a sibling and I'm so thankful it took!

How many IVF did you do before success: 2

Are you using donor eggs or sperm: NO

Protocol (meds taken): Microdose Lupron

How many follicles at ER: 7

How many eggs retrieved: 7

How many eggs fertilized: 6

How many days between ER and ET: 5 days

How many and quality/rating of embryos/blasts transferred: Perfect quality, transferred two (froze the remaining 4)

Symptoms or issues during 2WW: A day of twinges, and a few headaches.

What day you got your BFP: 10dp5dt

HPT before blood test: 4dpt and 6dpt both came back negative.

Number of first beta: 42

Number of babies: Not sure yet, would love two!!

Anything else you would have wanted to know before you started this process?: This was my second IVF cycle, so I had most everything under my belt. But my advice to others...
1) Clear your calendar of all family and friend committments. Especially if your keeping the process private. You'll need bed rest, so make sure that's easy to do.
2) Try not to read into symptoms or test at home, just wait for the results. Have a plan B and be prepared for the worst. This was my 2nd IVF and I remember the letdown from my first.
3) If you have frozen babies as backup, please trust in that process. I had my daughter from our FET following my first failed IVF attempt. I'm not sure why, but my clinic's success rate for FET is >90%, while their success rate for IVF is only in the 50-60% range. Something about those ice babies makes them very strong!

Number of first beta: 342
Number of babies: 1

Age: 34
How long TTC: 4 years
Diagnosis or any known issues: PCOS and hypothyroid. Also Factor V Leiden
Treatments you tried before IVF: Clomid with OPK (2 BFPs), Clomid w/IUI, Injects (Follistim) w/IUI
How many IVF did you do before success: I succeeded on my first try with IVF
Are you using donor eggs or sperm: No
Protocol (meds taken): Follistim (300), low dose lupron, Menopur (2 vials), with HCG trigger
How many follicles at ER: 17
How many eggs retrieved: 12 (10 mature)
How many eggs fertilized: 6
How many days between ER and ET: 5 days
How many and quality/rating of embryos/blasts transferred: 2 day 5 blasts (5AA, 6AA)- one fully hatched, one hatching
Symptoms or issues during 2WW: Not much actually. Bbs mildly hurt, and I was real emotional during the wait (for obvious reasons). Biggest symptom was weird dreams and early onset of heartburn.
What day you got your BFP: 5dp5dt
HPT before blood test: Very strong positive on FRER
Number of first beta: in the 200s. See siggy
Number of babies: 2 boys!
Anything else you would have wanted to know before you started this process?: Not really. My Dr was awesome and I just did my best to take my mind off things. You MUST take the day of your ER off, however I went out to lunch with my mom after, and then rested moderately the rest of that day. I went back to work the day after ER and it really helped take my mind off things. I did take a few days off cardio and stuck to walking rather than running until I got the BFP. To each their own regarding bed rest, but I think keeping a moderate level of activity helps those beans burrow in and get a good blood supply...

Good luck to you all ladies! I wish that you all have your turn.

Age: 42
How long TTC: 3 years
Diagnosis or any known issues: Unexplained
Treatments you tried before IVF: timed intercourse, BBT charting, OPK, acupuncture, IUI
How many IVF did you do before success: This is the 1st one.
Are you using donor eggs or sperm: no
Protocol (meds taken): Antagonist CD3 started with 150 Menopur and 225 Gonal-f. CD8 Menopur was increased to 225 added Cetrotide. CD11 Trigger with 10000 hcg and 300 Gonal-f.
How many follicles at ER: 20

Symptoms or issues during 2WW: exhaustion, sore breasts
What day you got your BFP: 9 days post transfer
HPT before blood test: of coursse. Testing w/ 3 brands - The cheapies were a waste of money. FRER gave me a positive 5 days before First Signal and the strips from early-pregnancy-tests.com never gave me a positive.
Number of first beta: 157
Number of babies: We assume we have a singleton
Anything else you would have wanted to know before you started this process?: Acupuncture works. Meditation mp3s help. Seek treatment from an RE not an OB. If you don't have an RE that you can trust, find someone else. The subq injections are easier than you expect them to be. It is worth it to have a medical professional do the IM shots. Exhaustion happens. Take a stool softener the night before ER. Keep eating high fiber or taking a stool softener as progesterone can also cause constipation. Maxi skirts and bubble shirts will hide the bloat!
