Hi Annisa,
My transfer has been scheduled for next Wednesday, March 26! :-)
When I first heard the date I got a little concerned because AF would typically be due by March 29! My nurse assured me that the Estrace & Progesterone are manipulating my cycle and that it is fine. They're the experts, so I guess I have to put my trust in them.
Also, I was informed that my pregnancy test will be on April 4...the day before my BDAY!!! OMG, that would be the BEST bday present EVER!!! Saying lots of prayers!!! :-)

Hi,
it was interesting to read everyone's stories. I'm also doing PGD testing. I had my first IVF last year but miscarried on week 9. After the testing it was determined that DH has balanced robertsonian translocation. Which gives us about 1 chance out of 10 to have a successful natural pregnancy. We've done 3 retrievals after that and banked 18 embrios. Got 5 to blasto phase and 2 of them are normal! :))) I will be starting FET next month and super nervous about it! I will be keeping my fingers crossed for everyone!

Ki Kievlyanka and welcome! Congrats on having 2 good embies - that's fantastic! Good luck on your transfer. Getting 2 normal out of 5 is incredible. I am doing the same thing you did and just finished my first IVF. So far we have 4 frozen blasts and awaiting another cycle to hopefully get more before testing is done. We would be absolutely thrilled if we got another 4 blasts this 2nd time around. I'm crossing my fingers and toes...

Thank you Adventurer!
One more thing I want to add, I went to a oriental clinic and they suggested I drink this herbal drink while preparing for IVF. My first 3 IVFs I had max 10 eggs retrieved and 3-5 stored. My last IVF when I drank the tea, I had 19 retrieved and 9 fertilized. I don't know if the tea was the reason or not, but that was the only thing that was different from my other cycles.
Also, I am, too, a poor responder to meds and my Dr. didn't use BBC on 2nd and 4th IVFs. Those were the IVFs I had the most eggs retrieved/fertilized. My 3rd IVF he tried to increase the dosage of the meds, but instead of more eggs, mine just developed too quick and I only had 3 fertilized in the end.

StephW good luck for your embryo transfer! I know how stressful this time can be.

Welcome Kievlyanka, it's great you have two chromosomally normal embryos.

AFM, I have an estimated schedule for my next cycle. I should start stims about April 5th. I also found out that if we get less than three embryos suitable for cgh then we are entitled to another round of cgh included in our price. This does not apply if we get a live birth out of this cycle. We do not bank embryos as many of you do. Embryos are tested at the end of each stim cycle. So if we get 3 or less embryos this cycle we pay for another stim but not for another round of testing. Estimated time for embryo transfer is late May/early June.

Hi guys I know this thread has gone a bit quiet and I have butted into other threads to talk with you but just wanted to say StephW I am really sad for you. It is such a difficult time when you get a BFN and must be even harder after going to all the effort and expense of testing the embryos. I always maybe falsely think if we throw enough science and money at this we will get a result, but it seems that is not always true. Are they able to give you any reasons why it failed? Big hugs to you. :hugs:

Adventurer, hello, I started stimming today, where are you up to?

Hi Annisa: good luck on your stimming!!! I should be stimming with you but my AF is 2 days late. Unusual for me so I'm a bit worried.

And you're totally not butting into any thread! If you were, I've butted into more threads than you have lol!! By the way, I meant to say earlier than I thought your lurk smilie was so cute! Where do you get the additional smilies and how do you insert them?

Hi Adventurer! To find extra smilies hit 'full editor' which is next to 'submit' then hit 'view more smilies' and a couple of extra pages of smilies are there.
I am not great with technology, if anyone can tell me how to add smilies to my siggy I would appreciate it. :wiggle:

Hello All :hi:

I've been more of a lurker here for about 6 years on and off. Idk what happened to my old acct but here I am again.

I will be doing the genetic testing on my embryos. I'm on day 9 of stims today and will do retrieval on thursday.
So, testing will be done the following week. Hoping and praying we have some healthy ones to put back.

Sorry, I don't have any juicy info to give at this time but I love hearing about all of your stories. I will def be back to let you know how things are going. And if I have anything good to share about the pgd.

hi ladies!

got a call from the re office... will cost us $12,300 not including bloodwork, medication... my pgd cost $5985 to biopsy 8 embryos, any additional cost more... of course I want more embryos per cycle, bc dats more chance od a bal/normal embryo! they want a check tomorrow... my last bcp was this past monday... so I think im officially starting stims anyday now...

annisa, to answer ur question... we cant work around dh balanced translocation... we can only hope his sperms when fertilizing my egg will be normal/balanced in chromosomes... dh chromosomes (1:5:7) switched parts/sections with each other, but it was all balanced, at least for him. but his sperms more than likely will Carry chromosomes dats not balanced... so if those sperms penetratw my egg, it will most likely end up in chemical pregnancy... or if I carry to term, an unbalanced embryo, then our baby will be disabled...

so its really up to chance.. my re said our chance of being successful is very low... but we really want to try!!!!!! I really hope we dont clear out out retirement account!

would like to know how much is it costing u other ladies, if u dont mind sharing...

thanks and gl to everyone!
