I found out today that we'll be doing our fet unmedicated. Idk why I had just assumed it would be medicated but it's not. I'm relieved.. Only the hcg shot then progesterone after for a few weeks. Wooohoo!!

How's everyone doing?

Hoping: Oh no!!!!! I'm so sorry!! :( :hugs: What was your protocol? It doesn't make sense since you've had chemicals with IUIs.

AFM: I just got some potentially bad news. I'm really praying hard it's a lab error but my E2 dropped a lot since yesterday! By 3000! Yesterday it was 11300 and today it's 8000. They're re-testing it but I'm so scared now.

Hoping I'm so sorry to hear that! My goodness! :( But you sound like you are ready to get back up and try again! That's exactly what I would want to do. Next time could be the time!! Did they try ICSI? I would've thought if they weren't fertilizing that they would've automatically done that. That's what my lab had us set up for. I guess I signed the paperwork prior saying it was ok to do so in case.

Adventurer what's the update?

I'm just sitting in wait land trying to stay busy. Got about a week before I'll start checking opk's. I ordered the ones that say yes or no because I didn't wanna chance the cheapies.

Omigosh. My lab just called me today and told me there were TWO lab errors. It turns out everything is fine. Even though I'm elated I'm irritated by the whole thing because of what I went through yesterday. Yesterday, they only repeated the day's b/w and discovered that the E2 was 9100 not 8000. So RE called me yesterday that my E2 had dropped and that that was bad. Today, they also repeated April 23's bloods and my E2 was not 11200 but 8142! The office called me today to relay a message from RE that this meant that things were fine all along. I was so so upset yesterday but I am just going to focus on the good version of results and not even think about which set of results is the correct one.

I'm great.. just waiting and waiting. I came up with a list of things that need to be done around the house, work etc. so I can focus on getting that done instead of the days slowly passing by until ET. I had to remind myself that I've waited years to get this far, what's another week or two. :wait:

Hoping, oh no how devastating for you! Is this anything to do with the translocation? I was under the impression that icsi was compulsory with PGD due to other sperm contaminating the process if they are hanging around. Has your clinic given you any info? Sounds like you have handled this very well.

Adventurer, you must be getting fed up of mistakes/ misinformation. You poor thing having to go through that disappointment only to find out it was a mistake. You must have had your egg collection by now? I hope you got a number you are happy with.

All, your attitude is great, what's another couple of weeks after so many years right? Very excited for you.

AFM, still waiting....get our results in 2 or 3 weeks. Please let us have 2 normals!

hi ladies:

all: that's a great strategy for passing time. Your FET will be here before you know it if you keep yourself busy. Can't wait till you put your embabies back!

Annisa: ugh I know the waiting is hard but I'm praying that you get those two normals!! Yes, the mistakes have been very frustrating but right now I'm so tired from all the meds and daily follie checks that I'll deal with that later. After this cycle is complete I will ask them about how their machine can read 11200 one day and 8000 the next! Don't they calibrate these machines? In any case...

Hoping: I know you plan on doing another cycle right away. Was your cycle a long Lupron protocol or short protocol? If your eggs were of good quality but didn't fertilize, it may have been because of your DH's balanced translocation issue.

AFM: good news! Yesterday, they collected 19 eggs and this morning I found out that 15 of 19 were mature and 13 fertilized with ICSI! The next few days will be the most stressful for me but if that episode on Thursday taught me anything, it is to just sit back and let things happen.

Happy Sunday!

Woohoo Adventurer, that is a great result. It's comforting when you get quite a few fertilised. It's a numbers game, there has to be a couple of good ones in that bunch! Keep us updated on their progression. Does this give you second thoughts about PGD?

All, my transfer will be unmedicated, just timed around my ovulation. I don't think I will even be on progesterone supplementation. But I think I would prefer to take some pessaries at least. I won't be transferring til June though due to long delays in processing the cgh. And also they don't like transferring the cycle after ivf for some reason. Fx for you!

Hello ladies!

All - So excited for your upcoming transfer!! It'll be here before you know it!

Annisa - I would LOVE to do PGS, if only we were at a clinic that I felt was competent enough to do it. I read on Dr. Sher's blog (I love that man, he provides so much great info) that if a clinic does not do a lot of biopsies, their skills will not be at the level of others that do these biopsies often. Makes sense, ha! What I didn't realize was that the lack of experience may also mean that it might take longer to biopsy which means that the embryos are out of the incubator for a longer period of time. Anyways, it's enough doubt for us to not be comfortable with repeating the procedure.

Today, we got good news again. All 13 embies are continuing to grow which is a relief that maybe one of them is good. Tmr's report and Thursday's report will be the important ones.
