Kiwi - so sorry to hear about the chemical. Love that you remain positive about frozen embies! (for most of us it takes more than once, but be reassured i've got a great feeling your time is coming REALLY soon!)

AFM - We had our 19 week ultrasound and we're having a GIRL! :) It was quite a shock to my DH as the utrasound tech at 9 weeks told him she thought it looked like a boy. We're both thrilled and happy to hear everything is looking on track and healthy. Now just waiting to feel those first little kicks... 21 weeks and still don't feel anything. My OB said within the next 2 to 3 weeks she'd assume I'd feel something! (Exciting times!)

You ladies remain in my thoughts often! :) Hope everyone is enjoying the summer!

Kim - CONGRATULATIONS!!! How very exciting to be having a girl! Yay!! I am so happy everything is going so well.

New Mommy - how are you? Just a few days now! Do update us when he or she is born - I hope everything goes well with the c section .

I am delayed again for my FET. I'm not sure why my ovaries just do not want to cooperate on these suppressant drugs. Super discouraged and just feel ready to give up. It has been a long year full of delays and I'm not sure how much longer I can continue just waiting in limbo.

Kiwi I am so sorry to hear you are once again delayed. I can't imagine the frustration you have from this past year. Try to hang in there. I'm praying for you!!

Kim how is that little girl doing?!

Reapage a boy & a girl is so exciting!! How are they doing??

Karen any gender news on your end?

Afm I was due for a repeat Csection this coming Friday but after a jump in my BP early last week OB made the decision to take baby this past Friday the 21st! She didn't want to wait around & have pre e develop.

I was admitted Thursday the 20th (my 3rd DDs 3rd birthday) & monitored overnight. The next morning right around 7:30am I was wheeled down & prepped for surgery.

It took 2 spinals since first didn't fully administer the med to numb me & I was flying high/sleepy on a huge dose of IV benadryl but at 8:07am I heard the most beautiful cry!! DH stood up & doc asked him to tell me what baby was ....... A GIRL! Our 4th girl to be exact lol.

I dealt with gestational diabetes and was on insulin but she was perfect & quite a bit smaller than my last 2. She was 8lbs 2oz & 20in long. Head full of dark hair. And even though she was a donor embryo she favors my other DDs more than the genetic family (which is a common thing. They call it epigenetics).

We are in love times 1000! It took till day 3 at almost discharge to name her but we chose Brynn Camille.

New Mommy, she came early!!!! I was jumping on thinking it was probably still a bit early but nope, she's here and SO BEAUTIFUL!! Your 4th DD - you are obviously just meant to be blessed with lots of beautiful girls!! :D

I am so happy for you and Brynn Camille is such a pretty name. How awesome that she's looking like your other DD's too - so amazing how it works.

Thank you - it has been a crazy frustrating year but I actually just had a sudden turn around! After having a giant hormone producing follicle (which was the corpus luteum since I had ovulated) on day 39 of my cycle and a pretty thin lining - which they said i might not therefore get AF, she suddenly came day 41! Day 43 I went and saw my RE for another ultrasound and it was collapsing. Still didn't have my hopes up but the Dr rang with my labs and my estrogen had suddenly gone from 310 to 20 and prog from 6 to 0.2 so I commenced estrace for transfer! I was SHOCKED. After all my delays at the start of the year and then such a looonnnggg cycle despite ovulating on time, I was sure I was in for months more waiting. To say I am stoked is an understatement! I started lupron day 21 so my RE thinks it flared me a little but won out in the end. Yay! So anyway, we will be transferring 2 embryos this time and my RE agreed pretty easily since we failed with 1 and my body is just so difficult! 11 September, here we come!! I pray it's my turn now and of course I would really love to have both!

Enjoy your new bubba and feel free to post another pic! :D

Thank you. It was so funny because I really thought in those last moments it would be a boy & was shocked to hear girl - they had to show me her parts  . But it's like the most perfect thing. It was meant to be this way & I wouldn't have it any other way. She is so very special to us

New Mommy - Congratulations, she is absolutely adorable and her name is so cute! :) I hope you are feeling well but glad to hear everything went so well and you've got your little sweet princess in your arms :)

Kiwi - That is FANTASTIC news! Will be keeping you in my thoughts and prayers during the next few weeks for sure!

AFM - Being pregnant has been a very easy thing for me (compared to a lot of stories I have heard) and I am very grateful for that blessing thus far. Our little girl is kicking like crazy and DH loves to put his ear on my belly to hear the heartbeat. (so precious)

I started this whole fertility journey at 110 pounds (5'10''), weighed 120 pounds by the time I transferred for IVF and now am weighing in at 146. My OB told us she thought I should gain between 35 and 45 pounds and I'm clearly right on track. I told her I was would gain whatever I needed to if it made the little lady healthy and happy. It's been quite an amazing process watching your own body grow, but I've surely done a few double takes when seeing my own reflection (ha ha ha!)

Reapage and Karen - Hope you both are doing well and enjoying being pregnant mamas! :)

Hello every body.

I've gone through 5 failed IVF cycles during past 6 years.

my husband's DFI test was abnormal, so the dr. prescribed him 3 minth vitamins taking. but now he has repeated the test and you cant believe that the result is worse than the last time.

I cannot believe that one day I can give birth to a baby.

Hey guys, sorry I have been MIA, I just didn't really see this thread :) But I am here now, and what wonderful news to come back to!

Mama, she is BEAUTIFUL! congratulations on being a mother again, and so proud of you for staying team green! I could never do it, but I bet it was completely worth it :) How is she sleeping ect? How is it with her donor family? It sounds like you have visited together. What a special experience. I LOVE her name.

Kiwi, wonderful news that you are able to transfer!!!! You know we transferred one twice and it wasn't until we transferred two that we got pregnant, and BOTH stuck! I sure hope that this is your cycle, and while being pregnant with twins is scary.... it just feels right in every way. I pray that God has a plan for you & that all you have been through will be worth it, and then some. So the 11th is transfer day?

Kim, wow I didn't know that you could hear the hb from the outside without a Doppler, when we get further along I will have dh try it. I use the Doppler from time to time and I just love listening to their hearts beat. Its addictive. I feel you on the weight gain... I am supposed to gain 24 pounds by week 20 and I think I am right on the mark haha. I gained a good bit during IVF but I have gained a lot since being pregnant. Its hard not to feel self conscience about it, but it is best for the little ones. I am very glad you are having an easy pregnancy, you deserve it!

AFM, the babies are doing very well so far. We had our 16 week scan last week with the MFM and this week we have another scan with the OB. I am just looking forward to my anatomy scan in three weeks. I feel like that is going to give us such huge wave of relief to know that things really are going well in there. I have been feeling movement since 12 weeks, its much more regular and noticeable now, but I am ready for the serious kicks :)

Halan, I am very sorry to hear of your struggles, sometimes it takes a few cycles, and mama and myself even used donor... but in the end, as long as you never give up- you will have a baby, or two :) Best wishes to you.

Reapage - just seen your OB update on other thread. Woohoo for a good scan. I'm sure 20 week will be just as great. :D What are their names? I seen you mentioned Addie?

Halan - the journey can be so very hard & depressing. Try to keep your hope alive. You just will never know where you'll be led on it.

Afm - day 13! DH leaves for work tomorrow & won't be back till the 15th. Won't be as bad as his full 21 days though. Brynn is doing great so far!! No eating issues right now either. Was 8lvs 1oz at 11 day check up - so 1oz below birth weight & perfect!

To answer your questions Reapage: she's sleeping pretty good. Every 2-3 hours she eats. I didn't sleep last part of pregnancy so I'm getting more than I was lol.

Team green was AMAZING & so not hard, I promise lol. We would do it again

We haven't ever met, or plan to meet, genetic family but we are fb friends & talk on there. I was worried how our genetic mother was emotional wise right after but she said she was so happy for us & it helped that she didn't resemble her kids. I'm sure it was still an emotional or odd feeling seeing her. We're the first baby born after donation.

Right now there's 14 other embryos. 2 families have been picked to receive a share of them. And we've made a huge personal decision & decided to keep at least 1. There's 2 straws with just 1 embryo stored in them. Being there was so many frozen - the embryologist at my clinic said usually that means high quality but she wants me to discuss everything with the lead embryologist. We will only go for 1 more but we have to make the decision to keep 2 incase one doesn't thaw/we miscarry again. We'll probably keep 2 & if all goes well with the 1 - the other will be donated to original recipient we chose (they are getting 6 to start if we keep 2).

We wouldn't transfer for 3-4 years at this time.

New Mommy, I thought you mentioned her favoring your dd's over her genetic siblings so I assumed you all met. I don't know that I would want to meet the donor family... & If I dontated I don't think I would want to meet them still. But everyone is very different. I love that you are so open about your experience. We have one frostie, but if we decide to have more children and it doesn't take we might look into donor embryo. The only reason we didn't do it for our third cycle is because we wanted to go directly into the cycle, and because we didn't find a family... tho I didn't do an extensive search or anything. I just think its a wonderful experience.

I am so glad you are donating the embryos. I had wondered about that before. How amazing that her embryo can give a few families the gift of life. I also think its great you guys are saving one (or two). Its good to have that option.

So happy for you guys! Man, I cant wait until the babies arrive :) The names are Addeline Elizabeth and James Edward. They are both named after grandparents. I love classic names. My only stipulation with James- is that he wont be called Jim. He is named after is grandfather James, who went by JIm, but I love James. Of course his friends can call him whatever, but he will always be James to the family.

Thanks girl!! I still need to get my OBs medical opinion on 1 more Csection but if she says it's possible, we are keeping them. If not, we have to be done. I'm mixed in that just because I'm not really getting to pick lol.

Love the names. I smiled extra big because my grandfather who was an AMAZING man & the closest person I ever had was James Edward. He went by Ed. Perfect name!

Reapage - So nice to hear from you! Congratulations on growing these beautiful boy/girl twins, how wonderful!! I am so excited for you - not long really until you get to meet them :D I very much hope I will follow in your footsteps. Last time around transferring one felt very right - playing it safe, having some control, you know. This time I have realised no matter what, I don't really have any control and can't choose the outcome so I'm just going to take a leap of faith and put both my remaining day 5's in and pray very, very hard the outcome is very different to last time and they will both grow to become healthy babies. I feel really at peace with the decision and I'm so excited!! Of course, a little nervous to see a bfn again but I just have to push those thoughts away and keep believing it will finally be my turn. Anyway, I so love your name choices! It's so nice you are using family names and they are really lovely names too :) I completely understand James being James - it's young, cute and handsome. Jim is like an old mans name! Ha.

New Mommy - So awesome to hear little Brynn is doing so perfectly, I bet she's a total sweetie :D I loved reading about your donor embryo experience - it is really such a lovely thing, and how wonderful that other couples are also going to benefit. Out of interest (if you don't mind me asking), how many embryos did the family who donated them to you use/ how many children do they have? She must've produced so many eggs to get so many! I'm really excited for you that you've decided to keep one or two embryos for another baby - I really hope that your OB agrees to this! When will you find out her opinion?

Kim - SO great to hear how much you are enjoying your pregnancy! It must truly be an amazing experience after all this time and effort getting there. I love the story about your DH. So lovely. That was really encouraging for me to read about your starting weight/gain and how well that is going. I am just over 5'10" as well but about 125 and I keep feeling like I need to feed my face a little more and that's the problem! But this is just the way I am - I quit the gym when we started TTC and heck, even moved to the US for my husband and adopted a much more unhealthy diet but here I am, still the same size! So thanks for sharing. I look forward to seeing everything grow soon too hopefully!

AFM - Final US and labs tomorrow before transfer! Hopefully I'll get a definite thumbs up for the 11th. I will only be my 11th day of estrace and last time I was checked on my 12th and it was only just thick enough so I am going in with the expectation of possibly having my transfer pushed a day - which is fine, just so long as it's still on! I'm anxious to have my lining much thicker than the not quite 8mm it was last time and keep thinking it isn't growing because I don't 'feel' anything. So ridiculous - like, who FEELS their lining growing?! It's hard being in the dark sometimes!! I'm hoping and praying very hard for a nice thick lining.

Kiwi - you made me giggle about the feeling your lining growing part. Oh the things we do to get pg right?! Lol I talk to people about simple things - how many days is your period or how many days is your cycle & they can't even answer because they don't know. Then you have us girls who can tell you EVERY movement & twinge our bodies make lol.

Many prayers for a nice lining & beautiful transfer!!! Come on amazing BFP!!!!

To answer your question : I believe the donor had 32 eggs at ER & I think 20 embryos? All good quality - all day 5 & 6 blasts!!!!! Amazing outcome but also difficult because no one can really use all of them individually. Which leaves a difficult decision.

They transferred 2 fresh & had a chemical then used 2 for FET & got twins but lost 1. Then after giving birth she had a natural pregnancy!

2 years later they donated 16 to us because after the natural pregnancy her DH decided no more medical procedures & being pro life donating was the only option.

They got extremely blessed & 2 months TTC earlier this year they got another natural BFP! She's due in Nov. There's 2 girls & a son in between.

Funny part is she & I are the same age & both are PCOS. Her DH & mine are the same age. She got pg with her IVF daughter the month before me so our IVF babies are 1 month apart - then I had a surprise natural BFP after my IVF pregnancy & her natural BFP followed like 2 weeks later. Mine & her natural ones are 11 days apart. Now we have our snowflake baby because of them & their other natural BFP will be 2.5 months after lol.
