New Mommy - Thank you!!!! I am all set for transfer tomorrow - yay! :D My lining measured in at a 9 although I was a little sceptical that the guy (not my usual Dr) did a very generous measurement - especially when my E2 came back at 218 again (pretty much what it was last time and they like it over 250), so I have to take the extra little blue pill vaginally again! Anything though, I will do ANYTHING to get my BFP... Blue vajayjay and all!

I am so excited for transfer! I can't wait to get these two little embabies in me finally... I really hope my uterus will feel like home to them and they'll thrive in there. I am also a little scared because of last time. Trying not to think about it though.

Thank you for sharing all about your donor experience! It was super interesting to read. How amazing all the commonalities you guys have. It really is so fantastic little Brynn looks so much like you. It's all so incredible :)

It's so true how little some people need to know about their bodies! Can you imagine not needing to know or think about all of this? Nope, me neither

I hope everything is going well for you with your gorgeous new addition!

New Mommy, what a magical experience! I wish we would have had embryos to donate. In my heart, I believe that our little ones will look like their father, even tho we used donor sperm. I have felt that way since day one and some how I know it will be true.

Kiwi, good luck!!!!!! woohoo on transferring two and having a great lining! He couldn't have been that generous and your lining being anything above 7 is perfect so I know you are in good shape! Keep us posted lady, cant wait to see that positive pregnancy test :)

I am just sitting at my desk, feeling a baby kick my lower right abdomen. Im not sure if its a hand or foot and who it belongs to, but someone is jamming out in there. I cant wait to see them one week from Monday @ my 20 week scan. Of course I am scared out of my mind, but all I can do is pray for healthy hearts and brains & what will be will be.

Transfer went smoothly, everything went great but it still didn't work  Had my giant, big, fat, ugly, negative confirmed today. Again. Just wondering if it will ever work quite honestly. Three great, tested embryos and I have never so much as seen a line on a test.

Re: December/January IVF

Thanks New Mommy. It feels awful. I am so sad and frustrated and really quite overwhelmed because there is clearly something up and now I am terrified of putting any more great little embryos in me only to ruin their chance of ever becoming a baby :(

My RE had a few ideas up her sleeve that we had been discussing but today reviewed my case with the whole team (3 RE's and the embryologists), and they are sending me for an MRI because they are concerned I have adenomyosis given my history of endometriosis and now recurrent implantation failure. Ugh. I don't know a lot about adenomyosis but I do know it grows in the uterus and pretty sure it is a giant problem when it comes to conceiving.

This whole thing just sucks. I mean, I thought we were doing IVF to fix freakin morphology issues and that in the process we would be bypassing the problems endometriosis usually causes by removing the eggs before they're exposed to any toxins and here we are with a whole new set of problems. I thought the biggest hurdle was going to be making beautiful embryos! This is the most heartbreaking process, isn't it. I'm starting to feel like I may need to accept that I might just never get pregnant and that is not something I have ever considered could happen to me.

I hope you and little Brynn are doing so well. I am grateful to you for always checking up on me xxx

Hi ladies, long time no e-speak!
Kiwi, I am so so so sorry, this sucks! This must be awful... :hugs: I feel for you...
It has been a long time since I wrote here, and I have no news to share...Nothing has happened, except a lot of traveling.
A very interesting question that came up during the summer when we saw a random doctor (for a 4th opinion...) is: endometriosis. Is the test standard? Did you ladies all have it? I know I have not had it... Is it possible that after all this, IVF, IUI etc, it is indeed endometriosis? Or would IVF procedures have picked it up?
Oy...
We are about to move, so once all this is done, we will get back to it all. I honestly hope our new doctor is nice...
Hope you are all well! And all the embryos in bellies and the babies are growing happy and healthy!!!
TTC since: December 2011

July 2014: Diagnosed with poor ovarian reserve
September 2014: Clomid round 1
October 2014: Clomid round 2
December 2014- January 2015: IVF round 1- negative
March 2015- spontaneous (unmedicated, babydance only) chemical pregnancy.
We saw a doctor during the summer in Europe, he suggested endometriosis may be an issue.
New doctor- waiting for AF to do first test (3rd day of period).

Reapage - Thank you. I'm glad you believe I'll be a mum! Such a rough journey that just doesn't seem to want to end and I don't know what else I can do to make it successful. How are the twinnies? It must be wonderful!

Emme - So fantastic to hear from you! I have wondered how you are. Sorry to hear there isn't really any news... Have you just been trying naturally? I love travelling, where did you go?! A 4th opinion... How many opinions had you had last time we were chatting? I can weigh in on endometriosis, the only way it can be picked up for sure is by laparoscopy. Everything else is just an assumption based on symptoms. It isn't a standard infertility test since it is pretty invasive and I think IVF bypasses the biggest problem it causes anyway which is exposure to toxins when the egg is passed from the ovary to the fallopian tube. It can affect egg quality/quantity I think if the endometriosis is on the ovaries but otherwise it shouldn't do. My RE did think it was responsible for my high FSH but I don't think it has really affected my eggs too much judging by my last retrieval. I have had two laparoscopies (one when I was 25, one before we started TTC when I was 31) and I don't think they found endometriosis on my ovaries either time but my left was stuck to a wall in there somewhere and that is the side I have had most of my problems (pain etc) and also the side with the smaller ovary with less eggs (half as many) so perhaps there is a link there. Let me know if you have any questions! I am actually thinking if this next transfer doesn't work I might have more surgery... I'm sure my insides are probably messier than ever after all these drugs. I have heard it's debatable whether it really helps though since some endometrial implants are microscopic anyway.

Are you moving far?

AFM - MRI came back normal which was a huge, huge relief. My RE didn't seem quite so relieved as we now don't have an answer for why this isn't working. We had so many explanations for why we thought wasn't working naturally but now we are unexplained for why IVF isn't working. Ugh!!! The other good news is I also had baseline Friday because my RE wanted me to move right to another retrieval while I was down regulated from my FET and I passed with flying colours! Yep!!! It took me 3 months to finally start stims for my first retrieval and here I am starting first time for my second. Yay! I just have to hope now it goes as well as the first did. It is kind of surreal going right to retrieval again but it helps in dealing with my failed transfer as well. We only have one frostie left now, our day 6, so she will be transferred along with our best fresh day 5 embryo. We are also adding lovenox and vag progesterone as well as PIO, instead of just PIO. We have the option of doing prednisone too but it causes an increased risk of cleft lip & palate in the baby so we probably won't do it at this stage. I hope we are doing enough different... It is so hard to know what the magic ingredient to success is when you don't know why it isn't working.

I hope everyone else is well

Kiwi - yay for getting to start & all tests showing good news! Hate it doesnt give you any answers though.

Kiwi: very sorry to read about your FET. I hope cycle #2 is going well for you. :praying: just out of curiosity, have you ever been tested for high NK cell activity? Or DQ alpha matching between you and DH? 3 failed normal embryo transfers at your age and endometriosis suggest this as a possibility. Best of luck!!

Emme: I'm sorry to hear no news too. Kiwi did an excellent job at describing endometriosis. Only thing I can add is that in one third of cases, endometriosis is associated with high NK cell activity by the K672 target cell test. Info from Dr. Sher's website (my RE).

Well, BIG news for me.... I finally got my BFP!!!! Just a bit late to the show for Dec/Jan IVF success but better late than never! I am completely over the moon and basically spent the entire of my Saturday in shock. It's so hard to believe it finally happened!

I have no idea what the magic trick was - the addition of lovenox or progesterone supps as well as PIO, or just having a less artificial cycle with no lupron; but I am so very excited! I really was fast losing hope this would ever work. Thank you for all so much for your thoughts and well wishes! I can hardly believe I get to make this post!

I also had SIX blasts make it to freeze on top of the one fresh we transferred. I was pretty blown away by that as well! We had the 'test 8 in 9 months' plan with Genesis so we could send them away for PGS without paying again. Both cycles combined we have sent 11 so they just make you pay a little extra for the extra 3 embryos - pretty good really.

I'll post my tests for you - 5 & 6 dp5dt :D Yayyyyy!

Adventurer - I really appreciated your suggestions and it has definitely been on my mind that I should have those tests done but as we only had 4 days between negative beta and starting stims again we went with my RE recommendation just to do the lovenox without the testing. She did give us the option of prednisone too but we decided not to do it just yet since it has that increased risk of cleft lip and palate for baby. I have been so nervous about whether that was the right decision but it seems it was!

New Mommy - Wow, I imagine the time just flies! She sounds wonderful... I can't wait! :)

Thank you so much, Reapage!!! I am so excited! It really is crazy the way a few tweaks can make SO much difference.

I have an update to share already: Got an early beta drawn already yesterday at 7dp5dt because I developed OHSS and needed a bunch of labs anyway, and it was 147!!! Yay!!! It just suddenly came on Friday afternoon/Saturday and just got worse and worse to the point I really couldn't do anything without so much pain and discomfort - including breathe. It was honestly awful but I was trying very hard to just deal with it since I was so very happy to finally have my bfp! i don't think I've ever felt so terrible and so happy all at the same time. Ha! Anyway, of course by the time it was unbearable it was Sunday and my clinic isn't open but I decided with the on call RE that I could wait until Monday morning - it was one long, sleepless night but she saw me first thing and along with big ovaries I had a huge pocket of fluid. They drained off 1000ml (there was still some left but i was cramping up at that point) and it was just instant relief. I still feel crap, am breathless doing anything and have no energy but soo much better than I was. On strict intake/output measures and a fluid restriction - 1000ml of pedialyte or gatorade only (so thirsty!!), high protein diet, rest etc but just getting on with it for this baby or babies!! I will do anything required! I go back for review Thursday (or sooner if my RE decides based upon my fluid balance report she requires daily!), more ohss labs and of course another beta!!!! Yay! I am DYING to know already.

Reapage, I saw you were on bedrest now... Hard going! It's like the thing that sounds so great but really isn't. Of course, all for a good cause and so worth it in the end! I'm sure it'll be the only time you rest for a long time too :D
