If people treated other diseases like infertility...

Postby MidwestGirl » Tue Feb 10, 2015 11:42 am

DH and I were just having a laugh about how ridiculous people are in the way they react to hearing about infertility. People are so awkward and sometimes downright rude. Imagine what it would be like if some of these same kinds of comments were said about other chronic diseases.

"It's probably stress. Go on a vacation, and I'm sure your diabetes will resolve itself."

"You have diabetes? Interesting. I've always eaten whatever I want without problems."

At the gym, noticing someone else's pulse monitor: "Nice heart rate. Is it natural, or did you get a pacemaker?"

"He didn't want to wait for his heart attack to get better by itself, so he took the easy way out and had open heart surgery."

"Maybe your asthma is God's way of saying He doesn't want you to breathe."

It's so nice to have people here on TWW who actually DO understand! Cheers, ladies!
